10 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

I'm thankful I'm working on my new desktop. UPS was the last truck to show up today. Even the mail was early. Then FedEx showed up. A couple of hours later Amazon arrived. It was 3 PM when UPS finally showed up.
It's a warm day here. I'm thankful I didn't overheat while waiting outside for UPS to show up. I have a good line of sight on the driveway entrance. So, between my patio and the front bench near the front doors, I spent a lot of time outside today.
I'm thankful it didn't take too long to upload everything. I'm completely ready to work here. There are a few details I still need to work out. One-click is one of them. The only thing I'm not happy about is that Microsoft won't let me choose Google as my default browser. As they say, there's more than one way to skin a cat. No offense to cat lovers.
Okay, that's my day. I didn't do more than wait for UPS today and play my games. My laptop is officially off the desk. You can see my new desktop. I put it on the desk instead of in it. It's smaller than my previous computers but has the same if not more thumb drives.

Actually you can chose chrome as your default browser in Microsoft, even if they encourage Edge.
I am thankful for the rain, it cooled things down. I'm thankful the ac was an easy fix. I am thankful for the sound of Chilly's purr.

@yukimori She said she has it installed, but Windows, being windows, wouldn't allow her to chose it as a default. I've been a windows user since windows was really windows. And, while it's been fine , more recently Microsoft has been pushing Edge, to the point that it's difficult to use anything else.

@kaylachan No, it doesn't. Though I finally found the screen to change how long to keep the screen active.

I am glad you had a safe place to wait and did not get sick from the heat. It is so much fun to have new tools to work with that make us more efficient.

Your screen looks about the same as mine does, I makes it easy to see what is online, I have my desktop PC on a computer table. Thankful for all the writing I could do today and then blogging tomorrow,
