11 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from a pleasantly cool Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It was a good day today. I am so thankful for all I have. I have my health. I have my issues, but when I see others in the building, I'm in good shape. On most days, I don't need a walker to get around. I have one because there are days I need it. Thankfully, those days are few. I'm thankful for a beautiful place to live. The people in this community are the best people I have ever had as neighbors. They genuinely care about you and they check in on you if they haven't seen you in a while. There are always activities going on here, so if you're bored, it's your own fault. For today, I'm thankful I got the rest of the apartment cleaned and ready for the inspection. I'm thankful that when I took the garbage and recycling down, I didn't hurt myself more than I did. I have a huge knot on my head because the lid to the recycle bin came down on my head while I was trying to empty my recycle bin into the dumpster. I'm fine. Thankfully, my hair covers the knot. I'm thankful the inspector came early. He took a couple of minutes to check out the apartment. I don't think he was here for five minutes. I'm glad he came early as I had Writer's Guild tonight and my friend always picks me up. I'm thankful for my friend who picks me up for Writer's Guild. We had a good time before and after the meeting. She's a cold-case murder genre writer. Not yet published. As we were talking, she has so many stories about her family, I told her she could write a book about her family. She had me laughing hysterically on the way home about an incident in her life a few years ago. I'm thankful for Writer's Guild. I got more feedback on Guns of War. All good. The meeting was interesting and smaller than usual, but it is summer. We meet at the restaurant. I ate light all day today, even at the restaurant where I ordered a stuffed baked potato, nothing more. I'm thankful for my light eating day. I haven't been hungry except for breakfast, which I ate around 8:30 this morning. And then the baked potato at the restaurant. I'm starting to eat less every day, so I take that as a good thing. It will help with my weight loss. I'm thankful for my new computer. I got Google downloaded this morning, and I now have Google set as my default browser. I also set a theme for the opening screen on the computer when I turn it on. It's called Starry Nights. There are nineteen pictures in the set and so far every one I've seen is amazing of the night sky. Some of them have the galaxy on them. I'm thankful for the work I did on Guns of War before I went to Writer's Guild tonight. It's coming along well. I'm thankful that I got the notifications finished today and could see what you're doing in your world. I see I have more tonight, but it's late and I just want to watch TV before going to bed.
