Fresh picked cherries, are a wonderful treat! We have enough to make homemade jam, which we love:) I can't remember the man's name, he and his wife live south of us next to highway US-23. Jay used to deliver their mail, for over ten years. That's how he got to know this couple. They have cherry trees in their yard and enough fresh cherries to share with other people:) Those cherries are delicious Photo: Mine

That's a really nice treat for you. I love cherries but they're expensive. Lucky you getting so many for free

@kobesbuddy I buy cherries every time they're available in the store. I eat a small servings of them over the next week after buying them.

Some of the cherries will be for eating. And the rest will become jam.

I have been going through a pineapple phase and can't get enough, but cherries are right up there too

I have to be careful with fruits, like grapefruit, oranges and pineapple. They are very high in citric acid.

@kobesbuddy Yes, I have some nuts to help counter the acid

I love cherries, but they have been so expensive these past couple of years. I could eat them throughout the day if I had them around.

They have pits. So, we will need to cook them, before we make the jam.
