Shown is another view from the endurance ride we attended on Saturday. From this hill, we, and the riders, had a great view over the surrounding countryside.
Vince took this photo and got some great shots of riders with the valley behind them. The riders know us well now and don’t mind posing for us if we ask them to. We don’t do it often but sometimes there is the chance for a really nice photo against an interesting background.

Beautiful horses and yes, beautiful countryside, too.

@JudyEv Ah, OK. Do you know if the eucalyptus trees we (Americans) imported are mostly of the same type? They are tall and pretty and invasive and catch fire easily. Our most common "bushy" trees in coastal California are called Live Oak, and we have several varieties here. Have they made it to Australia?

@TheHorse Yes, they're the same types as both areas have similar climates. What used to be called Corymbia ficafolia is I think the one that is now particularly invasive.
I checked and the various Californian oaks are recommended here, again because they are suited to the climate.
