I´m about to make more dressing for the coleslaw.

When I clean and cut veggetables to wat raw I never add dressings over them. I don´t do it not even if I think that we´ll eat it all in the moment. It so happens that most of the time there is something left and if dressing is added, the only thing you can do with it is to throw it away. But clean veggies placed inside a plastic bag (preferably with little air) can last for several days in the fridge. So I have still some of the coleslaw (no dressing) and I´ll take only the amount I want to eat and add the several spices. That will be my dinner. I don´t want to eat more. I have been muching this and that all day, mostly out of boredom I hope tomorrow the day will be better. This has been a cold winter. See you later.

@marguicha I understand. I wish Trump was just gone. I'd love to meet you in person.

That's a very good tip - not adding the dressing.

When I was young I dressed the whole salad. Then I standed to watch the salad left slowly dying in the bowl. The price of the veggies were not that important (I wasn´t then aware of savings) but I had lost all the cleaning up and preparing job

It is so easy to make it at home. And inexpensive too.

This is not a terrible summer here, we had a few hot days, but also rain and thunderstorm and breezy days. Not the worst month of July that I remember. When I feel bored I also tend to munch more.

I do the same thing with my veggies. Cut them up and bag them for later. Enjoy your coleslaw.

You should come to the US. Parts of the States are broiling right now. You won't be cold. Enjoy your day.

I am the same with coleslaw. I never add the dressing until it's time to eat it. I want it fresh and crunchy, not old and gross.. I wish it were not so cold for you, or that you could have some type of central heating system. It has to be hard, being cold so much of the time. We are in the 90's-100's for a long string of days now. Wish I could send you some of this heat!
