Famous People with August 4th Birthdays

The first one I always think of now is Barrack Obama. He and I were born on the same day of the same year about as far apart geographically as you can get and still both be born in the United States. I was born in a hospital on the Atlantic Coast. He was born in Hawaii. And, yes, Hawaii was a state in 1961 for those of you unfamiliar with American history. The second person I remember is Jeff Gordon, the retired NASCAR race driver. He was born on the same day ten years later. I remember a joke about Jeff from his active racing days. "What do you call a stock car race with Jeff Gordon? 42 rednecks chasing a wimp." The joke was on his detractors. The rednecks were chasing him because he always beat them. He was a winner. They were the losers. Today is my birthday, too. I am not nearly as famous as the first two. The photo is of the wonderful birthday breakfast cooked for me by me. So goes my Friday thus far.
