New TV

My new TV

My son called yesterday telling me he was on the way to my apartment. I told him sure to come right on. Actually I was out but I told him I’d be home by the time he got here. Was I surprised when I opened the door and there he was with a large box with Television printed on it. He had it loaded on one of those truck things with wheels on it. He could barely get it in the door. To make a long story short. He had bought a new TV for me. He got it out of the box which was a job in itself , carried my old TV out, and hooked up the new one. It has all free Movies and TV shows. I’m learning how to bring up the shows but it will take me a while to be comfortable with the remote.Its so different from the old one. Sorry to brag but my boys are so thoughtful and I appreciate them . Just have to do a little bragging.

What a happy and loving surprise!! You indeed have a thoughtful son. We got a new one - smart tv - a few months ago. I still have to get to know all its features.

Weren't you using a TV remote earlier? It looks like a LCD TV. Enjoy watching shows on it. My TV is still the old one like a box.

My main TV quite working several weeks ago and I was watching a small one from the bedroom.I did have trouble with that remote. Now when I learn more about the new one I’ll be fine. I hadn’t had a new TV in years.

@RubyHawk I do. I had to sell my large one when I moved into my travel trailer and the one in there is tiny. He bought a larger one that will fit and has it loaded for me. Son's are so protective.

It’s Vizio , or so it says when I turn it on. I think that’s how it’s spelled. I’m beginning to get used to it but I’m not proficient yet.

How thoughtful of your son to bring you a TV. It does take some trial and error adjusting to the remote as I too found out. I still do the wrong thing sometimes when trying to pause a show and restart it. Sounds like you raised some exceptional boys! Bragging well deserved
