Relying On My Timer

I am relying on my timer in order not to stay too long at my desk. Otherwise, I could be here for hours without getting up and it is definitively not good for the body. I get way too stiff. Do you?

I have my husband who calls all the time because he needs something. No need to have a timer.

Even if I wanted to, I can't stay here for long because of my hectic schedule. I only have a few minutes here before my last online meeting of the day starts.

I have to lay sideways to be able to Mylot, using my phone or Kindle. My back won’t allow me to sit up straight long at all. Do you get up after the timer goes off, and then come back after walking around a bit? Or, do you just move on to something else for the day?

I don't use a timer on the desk - but that's a good idea. I come here as a resting spot in between all the chores and things . . . I just have to make sure I don't get stuck on this computer chair .

I am reliant on my Apple watch as well to remind me to stand up and get moving. I have set it up to send me a reminder when I have been sedentary for quite some time. My work is mostly an office type kind of work, in front of the computer and whenever I get too focused, I tend to sit with my shoulders hunched over. That makes me stiff and sore.

I stay in just 1 position often for work, I do get stiff, but I walk around to loosen up on my breaks.

I set the alarm and drink water every 50 minutes, in this way I don't sit for too long

I couldn't stay in one position too long either, especially sitting upright at a desk
