My grandson Daniel is in Santiago.

He has been through a lot with his peritonitis. He almost died.
He called me to ask me how I was. I know my grandsons´ way of using language. I asked him whether he could come to see me and what could he eat.
He messaged me that he is eating everything now and that he could come next week.
I asked him by message if cake was under the words "everything" and that on Tuesdays and Thursdays I has therapy and that on Wednesdays Anita came. He could come any other time, provided that he told me the day before at least.
I suppose that even if he says that he can eat anything, I´d better have something not too spicy. I could buy and roast a chicken (dressed only with butter and salt, no pepeer). And I can make some mashed potatoes to have on the side.
I´m happy that he messaged me. Of all the family that was there on that Sunday when everyone ended up hating me, I think that the only one that made peace with me really is Daniel.
We´ll see. I´m so happy that Daniel is well now. Although I won´t give him hot chile peppers yet

This followes a ruptured appendix that he did not realise that was important so as to go to the hospital.

I know. I don´t think that he can eat everything as he says.

Grandchildren are always precious in the eyes of their grandparents. Grandparents have more love for their grandchildren.

During the covid pandemia, this was just about the only illness that hospitals here were accepting besides the covid patients. It is very dangerous and fast.

I feel that he is the only one of the family members present on that fateful Sunday that has really forgotten what was said. I don´t remember anything but now thinking back I think I might have had a panic attack.

I'm glad he called and wanted to see you. I'm sure you will cook him a wonderful meal he will enjoy. It's so nice when they actually call us and want to see us, isn't it? I am glad he is better, peritonitis is serious.

I didn´t understand what he had had at first. Later, when he told me, it seems that he was just saved on time.

@MarieCoyle I´m very happy too. But he must have been very ill because his father, a doctor, went to the south to stay with him for some days and now he is recovering in his house here.

Yes, it can well be fatal if not caught in time and/or not treated. I am very glad he recovered.
