Monday 02' Oct 23 Talk: Life updates and casual talk

So it's back to Mylot time. What kept yours truly away from Mylot yesterday i.e 1st Oct? Well, it was a combination of local travel in a mix of heavy and light traffic, eating out and Grocery shopping plus settling down. In fact, it might be my rare day off here although I am here just for 8 to 10 minutes on some days. Today we have a public Holiday. It is the birthday of two of our great leaders of the past- Lal Bahdur Shastri- Freedom Fighter and Prime Minister from 1964 to 1966. Mahatama Gandhi- the leading Freedom Fighter in the movement versus the British Government, considered as the Father of ndependent India. Today, I called the Scrap dealer and out went scrap that was pending since long. Got a few bucks as well ! The lunch is getting ready and after that I plan to spend time online. October would be a mix of busy official work, pending tasks, Festivals and much more. So, how is your day shaping up and any October plans for you?

Nothing going on today with me... But it will be my birthday later this month. (Why do birthdays keep happening? I don't feel older. )

You can't go wrong with even making a couple of bucks! My October was a mixture of working and regular life, plus BARCStoberfest (dog/pet festival), a pumpkin patch, and Halloween.

When you say 'scrap', do you mean scrap metal? Indian seems to have a great many holidays.

@JudyEv We have so many festivals that even with good number of holidays, we have to take leave for some of the festival and religious ritual days. It meant the Ragpicker. I had an old and out of order keyboard, old Computer Motherboard and a DVD Drive, Copper Jug and a few more stuff. We call them as "Kabadi" in Hindi.

@nela13 Another interesting history topic for me. Interestingly, Independent India and Portugal had a small conflict over Goa, erstwhile Portuguese territory and now an Indian state. But that is history!

Yesterday I was going to Church, cooking and eating, watching YouTube, doing Twitter, putting some of my own videos onto YouTube to premier, more cooking, more eating, washing up and watching telly! If we have any scrap for the scrap man we just put it at the end of the drive and he picks it up! We don't get payed for it! I'm going to go and get my lunch in a minute. Then I'll be doing more MyLot and more telly watching. Then I'll wash up. Then there'll be more MyLot and more telly watching! Not doing any laundry today because we still don't have a new washing machine!

Yes it was a public holiday. I spent whole day resting at home. We are planning to have white wash soon at home. It will be a busy month for me.
