Do you think this Trump gaffe is a Freudian slip? Is he just unable to read a teleprompter and hear what he is saying?

Donald Trump's recent gaffes, while giving speeches, have become a cause for concern among his supporters.
Do you think this recent gaffe is really a Freudian slip, as some Lefties contend, or is it just a matter of his difficulties reading his teleprompter, and his inability to hear what he is saying?
I have long disagreed with those who think Trump has been showing accelerating signs of cognitive decline over the past ten or so years.
Examination of his earlier speeches and interviews shows poor command of English, an inability to discuss biblical passages, and an inability to discuss "literature."
But I may have to change my tune. I think Trump may be in rapid cognitive decline at this point.

@TheHorse That terrifies me. HOW can these people still think he's fit to hold office?

@LindaOHio Maybe they're just "Liberal baiting."

He's functionally illiterate. And I do not doubt that he's going senile. Plus, he's under a whole lot of stress right now because he's going to lose his business and whatever money he had left and he might die in a Georgia prison.
And he's not very smart on top of it.
I also think it's fair to say that his rapid cognitive decline is accelerating.

@TheHorse Stress increases fight or flight response (SNS arousal) and cortisol levels, which can be damaging to the hippocampus, leading to cognitive impairment. Wait. Did I really say that?
-----------You did really say that. And you did a pretty good job with it.

I must have missed something. What happened during one of his speeches? And I had no idea that when he gives speeches that he reads from a teleprompter.

I am with you in that I often think he has no idea what he is saying or even doing.
We need younger, better candidates to run for public office. We just do.

@MarieCoyle I would consider voting for either Chris Christie or Lix Cheney. Or Gavin Newsom.

We truly do not have quality candidates on either side. I wish some younger, charismatic candidate (and no, I don't care if he/she is good looking) would run, but that's like wishing on a star.

I think so too. He was never articulate, but he didn't say things that are the opposite of what he was trying to say. I have read that an active mind (reading, hobbies, playing music, etc.) delays dementia. Golf may qualify as a hobby, but I think his inactive mind overall is facilitating his rapid decline..

I wish we would get some young candidates in the race. Have a good day.

@LindaOHio I am an optimist. I believe in Democracy. We survived four years of Donald Trump as "president."
