My Thursday Alarm Clock

Happy Thursday Everyone! usually I wake up on Thursday mornings to the sound of lawn mowers and the landscaping crew doing their job. Today I woke up to the sound of jackhammers and a whole bunch of noise in front of the house.
The HOA is replacing some sections of sidewalks that have cracked and need replacing. I don't actually know if they were using jackhammers because that kind of sounds excessive for small sections of sidewalks. But, I do know that whatever they were using was loud.
It didn't take them long to remove and put down new concrete and they were gone by the time I got up, showered and came downstairs for my coffee. The section is roped off with yellow tape so that no one walks on it.
Aside from the wake-up this morning it's nice to see my HOA fee dollars at work
As every other morning this one is disappearing faster than I can get stuff done.
I'm working on the second load of laundry and emptied the dishwasher.
Now I'm having my breakfast (coffee and an English Muffin) while I spend some time chatting here.

I am sure it is good to see your HOA dollars at work. They are obsessed with fixing the docks around here., and the gate at the lake..other than that not even sure what they do. I guess the snow plowing..state maintenance stops somewhere after your turn in.

I enjoy living in an HOA community but it's not as private as your sounds. We have a combo of townhouses and semi-attached

I have no problem living in an HOA community. There are a lot of perks which makes it worthwhile. (Especially the lawn cutting and snow removal)

Those new sidewalks will look beautiful when they are all dry and will be so much nicer to walk on. Being woke up that way isn’t fun though but that’s awesome how fast they got in and got it all done. My husbands outside dogs woke me up barking at 6:30. I’m very tired as I don’t get to bed until past midnight.

@Marilynda1225 I can’t stand the sound of dogs barking when I’m trying to sleep it’s so irritating. Unfortunately you’re right there is no napping for me.

I think being woken up from barking dogs is worse than what I woke up to. At least I can take a nap whenever I want and not having a family to take care of like you do.

You should have run out while the concrete was still wet and put your hand and footprints into it... 
Everything is going fine for us. I had a doctor appointment this morning and now we're back home for the day.

@Marilynda1225 I remember a YouTube clip about two workmen trying to shoo a chook off wet cement and it was just going round and round putting down more and more prints. Pretty funny to an outsider.

Weather is getting cooler. Temperature down to 14C. I just had noodles with pork chops for lunch.
