A mystery dog illness has been found in at least 10 states. The illness that either kills dogs or gives them infectious coughs and pneumonia has been found in Oregon, Colorado, New Hampshire, California, Indiana, Illinois, Washington, Idaho, Georgia and Florida. The atypical canine infectious respiratory disease (CIRDC) can last 6-8 weeks or longer and is minimally or not responsive to antibiotics. The acute pneumonia can become rapidly severe and lead to poor outcomes in 24-36 hours. Keep a close eye on your dog if it becomes ill; and keep your dog away from large groups of unknown dogs. Be sure your dog is up-to-date with vaccinations such as canine influenza, Bordetella and parainfluenza.
121 days until spring.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Macaroni bean soup (so good)
Dessert/Snack - Blueberry muffin and decaf coffee

I hope so. I'm glad I don't have dogs anymore. I would be worried sick about them.

@LindaOHio Our son is awfully careful where he takes his dogs for walks, what trees the dog stops at to sniff, as they can pick up alot of germs right there.

Spring is slowly getting closer, but we got to deal with the very cold weather first, sadly.
Nuggets sound good. I forget what I had....

@LindaOHio I wish I do. Maybe that's why I'm happy to dog sit when asked.

@LindaOHio Governments might be manufacturing them. Who knows? I used to not be so conspiracy theory oriented, but SO much to not trust anymore in the world.

will they find a cure for the dog illness?
For breakfast, I had a cinnamon muffin, banana, and cottage cheese
For lunch, I had a chipped ham ( a Pittsburgh thing) sandwich with mayo, cheese, and pickles
For dinner, I had a salad from a bag and added the rest of the rotisserie chicken I bought Wednesday and added shredded mozzarella cheese, and topped it off with Ranch dressing as my sister gave me a huge bottle
Your meals sound scrumptious!

@LindaOHio so do I. I worry about the poor innocent dogs. I know you said it wasn't in PA but I still worry for the dogs of the state and for my doggie nieces who are the sweetest dogs ever. Even the one who is part black lab and pit bull. She is nothing like a pit bull. She is very nice! and my other doggie niece whole is a full-bred German Shepherd
