Mc Donald's is revamping their burgers with over 50 modifications. The Big Mac patties will be cooked in smaller batches for a more uniform sear, the special sauce will be "fresher and meltier" and the sesame seed bun will be replaced with a sesame seed brioche. 7 years in the making, the new burger patties will no longer be dry.
OPEC may cut production of crude oil to bolster low prices. We may not enjoy the lower prices at the pump much longer.
Picked up an extra jar of decaf coffee to hedge higher prices next year.
Where did November go? Soon it will be Christmas.
**News about two of our members. @DianneN is OK. She has just been busy. Sad news about Gill @Gilljane in the UK. She passed away on November 11. Condolences to her family and friends.

Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Chicken stew, 2 servings of mixed veggies, cornbread, pears
Dessert/Snack - Triple chocolate muffin and decaf coffee
Dinner - Salad with the last of the turkey white meat

Lower prices for gas? We barely got down to $3.55! Life is never fair.....

@MommyOfEli2013 there are two stations about a half hour from me that just opened and are $3.19. Every where else within an hour north and south is over $3.50. I can’t figure out how these two places can charge so much less than all the others but I won’t complain as I was able to get gas there one day.

@LindaOHio Alright...just was saying. Actually saw one gas station in the next town over was down to $3.19. That's cheap for here. My town is still in the $3.50 range

Sad about Gilljane and I did read about that McDonald's thing this morning.
For dinner last night I used up the leftover ham and made a batch of scrambled eggs with it and added in some onion, green pepper and shredded cheese. Yummy. Had some buttered toast on the side.

Hubs has some dark meat turkey left that he made extra. The rest of the turkey is gone. Some mashed potatoes are left. And cornbread.

The loss of Gill really got me. What an absolute doll she was. I like to picture her breathing easily, skipping along the road, free from pain the world can bring.
I hope McDonald’s long needed improvements don’t bring a rise in the prices. Yesterday, I had spinach in egg muffins, chili in a flour tortilla, orange sherbet, popcorn, and a few plums.

Dianne makes cameos here anymore because she’s so busy! Hopefully she gets back to Florida and updates us on her adventures and gives us more photos of Orville the Osprey!!
Yesterday I had a free meal at Mark’s Feed Store: smoked chicken on a baked potato with cheese. Jimmy Dean turkey sausage wrap and infamous potato soup for dinner. And apples!!!!

Your smoked chicken sounds really good. Yes, I'm waiting for Orville pix. Gilly was so young. Such a shame.

I ran out of turkey the day before yesterday, so faced with imminent starvation, I had to prepare and cook my meal all by myself and eat it all by myself because some people are fickle about pickles. I made dill pickle soup.

@LindaOHio Yes. Thank you. I took that pic yesterday, and with my eyesight, getting a good pic can be hit or miss. Right before snapping the photo, I asked God to please let this one be one and done, and it was.
It's Zupa ogórkowa, and it is a Polish soup.

Yikes I can’t imagine gas prices going higher it’s already over $3.50 here.
Thank you for the news on our myLot friends. I have been worried about @DianneN so I am very glad to hear she is well and just busy. I am friends with @Gilljane on Facebook and didn’t know she had passed. I did notice was here a lot and hasnt been for awhile. So sad!

@LindaOHio are you very close to anyone here as well as on Facebook that would be able to let people here know if they see you pass via Facebook? I have a few i friended on Facebook from myLot but I’m really choosy as I don’t want anyone I know in person to know I use myLot as it is my secret place to come be myself and not worry about what I say.

We don't eat at McD's . . . but I wonder if the die hard fans will be upset about the changes. We have the highest prices around - oh geez we cannot have them any higher. EVERYTHING is getting sky high in prices. Seriously, time has gone by too quickly. Good to hear about Dianne. But sad about Gill .

Good for McDonalds but I rarely eat fast food now and the closest I have is Burger King, Hey, for a non-meat change I invented today and it was very good. Make mashed potatoes with a mix or yourself. Make it thick so you can pick up the mashed potatoes and make patties with your hands. If you have an like you can also mix in an egg and some cheese. Meanwhile heat up a non-stick pan with olive oil or salty butter. Take each mashed potato patty and dredge both sides in breadcrumbs, Then fry on both sides and they are very good, You can also add gravy if you like,

No more dry burgers at McD's is a big deal. I don't eat there. My son's girlfriend works there.
Good idea to get another can of coffee before prices go up.
24 days until Christmas. 20 days until winter. Life is good. Let it SNOW!
Were they punishing you with the food selection? At least the triple chocolate muffin and your salad look good.
Yesterday I had oatmeal w/raisins and banana for breakfast. Fish and rice for lunch. Turkey stuffing for supper.

I just wish McDonald's would stop loading up their beef patties with so much salt and pepper, particularly pepper. It's been going on for the last couple years now. Idk if it's only around these parts or if it's a nationwide thing, but all I taste is pepper, pepper, pepper. So I ask for it without it, and they make me park. And wait.
*But* they do have the Holiday Custard pies out.
So yesterday I had a cheeseburger Happy Meal with double fries (I hate the dumb apples) and 2 of the custard pies.
And yes, they are just as delicious as you remember.
Little sprinkles on top.. HOT custard center.. y-u-m.
I love December @ McDonald's.
Too bad they didn't bring the McRib back :( this Fall.

I love a turkey salad. I made something similar last year. When I go grocery shopping early next week I am getting a bag of lettuce to make another turkey salad as I froze turkey this Thanksgiving too!
I would love that Triple Chocolate muffin if I could safely eat chocolate. I will buy either blueberry or cinnamon chip muffins next week. Can you tell it is going on three weeks since I grocery-shopped =)

@LindaOHio Sadly I only get turkey salad once a year. But I get chicken salad each time I go grocery shopping. I go today and will get lettuce and a rotisserie chicken, I don't use the oven so can't add the french fries
I have never tasted egg salad but it has always sounded delicious. I don't know how to make it. I mostly cook noodles and put them in jarred sauce and grilled cheese. it is too hard to make something else and I am afraid of my stove sometimes and petrified of my oven and refuse to use it
have a super week!
