About Bob's Sister--updating the situation

So, because Elaine could not walk up the hill and down the driveway to her mailbox, her bills were not being paid. Her house phone was shut off. Her cell phone is broken. Bob's next younger sister, Arlene, lives in Ohio. She has purchased a new phone for Elaine and is programming it for her. Then she will mail it to Elaine. Elaine has a case manager, who booked her into a hotel for one night, and got the house phone turned back on. Elaine is back in her cold home, snuggled under her new heated blanket we got her. She says it makes her very comfortable. At some point there is going to be a furnace put in. She does have at least one friend who checks on her and will get her mail, now that they know she is in need. Bob just talked to her on her house phone. We feel much better now. So does she. The heated throw was a perfect gift.
