What to do for my birthday?

The last two years hubby and I went away to Atlantic City for my birthday (December 24th), staying in one of the casino hotels. Last year it was Borgata and the year before it was Hard Rock.
Thinking of maybe doing that again this year... Possibly going away on the 23rd and staying until the 25th. Would have been great if I had a complimentary room in either of these hotels. Or at least some discount offer. Not sure how to find that out.
Or perhaps I should opt for something else instead. Not sure what to do though. What I definitely don't want is to stay home. Especially since we are doing renovations now and everything is a mess.

@lovebuglena - Should I decide where to spend my birthday it would be a warmer place or at the opposite a cozy hotel up in the mountains.

It’s just that I’ve been there two years in a row. Maybe better to do something different. Not ruling it out yet though.

My boyfriend's birthday is Christmas Day (25th). He is going to come down here. Our tradition now is to see a movie on his birthday. I don't know if we are going to rent a movie or go to a movie theater. Happy Advance Birthday!!

I live in NYC so if I were to go to Manhattan I’d not wanna stay overnight there. I’d just go home.

@LindaOHio depends on where and how? By car, probably around 40 minutes to downtown Manhattan. By train and ferry about 1.5 hours.
