Happy anniversary!! Yes, it was three years ago today that I was diagnosed with COVID-19. I’m very thankful that I had a mild case that was confined to my gut. I never had any respiratory issues. Those were the days: the local health department called me every day and sent me a “care package.” One day when the health department worker called I said, “If you sent those Reese’s Cups to see if my sense of taste was back, let me assure you it IS.” The VA called me this morning, which kind of shocked me. They wanted to give me the results of my CT scan from last Friday. Normally I don’t get that kind of service from them, but then I did go to a new clinic. Anyway, the results were normal. They told me about the diverticulosis, and I told them that wasn’t anything new. What’s this picture? Well, you’ve heard of “dumpster diving”? Here’s a squirrel doing it in a neighbor’s trash can! I don’t know why, because there’s plenty of food in the bird feeders around here for them to enjoy. Maybe it’s been taking lessons from a raccoon! I hope y’all have a wonderful Christmas, whether you celebrate it religiously, secularly, both, or not at all. Enjoy the day!!!

I love the squirrel! My step mom gets so annoyed by the squirrels stealing the food out of the bird feeders. She loves how funny they are, but they do steal from those feeders all the time.

I lost enough bird feeders to the point where I now have heavy duty plastic shelves in back, and I put the food out on each shelf. It was getting where the birds ate the squirrel food and the squirrels ate the bird food!

I had no clue that I had it because I had no respiratory symptoms at all. Other people, however, say that the knew it.

Not a great even to remember, but a happy anniversary because you are now healthy. Add to this that you got good result of your CT scan, now you can enjoy the Holidays. Cute little squirrels, they are even more curious than cats.

I’d like to know how it got in there. It’s not like it’s next to a tree. I was shocked when they called me and said the test was positive. I’d told my pulmonary doctor, based on the way they were talking about it, that if I ever got covid I’d die because I was obese, asthmatic, and had an immunological issue. I still have two of those things.

@FourWalls - I see no trees around, weird that there is a squirrel there. As you see, doctors are not always right, but I imagine how frightened you were when they told you that you were positive.

What did the hospital expect. Afterall, Reese's are worth the diverticulitis.

Glad you got your results, and Merry Christmas. Glad your case of the stupid C was mild when you had it 3 years ago, and happy anniversary. In regards to the C, even now I support precautions (as I would with any ailment) but I hated the psychotic level panic many had back then. I also hated that it was intentionally continuously stoked by many in the media professions.
