Happy 2024, y’all! I’ve been dealing with a sinus infection since just before Christmas. All of the drippity-do-dah has resulted in laryngitis now. Well, it’s okay, because I don’t have a lot to say…and I can still type. I haven’t been using my steroid nasal spray, because it causes a loss of taste. I had a sinus infection in 2020, and I couldn’t taste anything from the medicine. That caused the ER to do a covid test, which came back positive. I’ll do an extra four days of dripping to be able to keep tasting this delicious tea I’m drinking. Ah, tea. “They” (you know “them,” right? The people who get blamed for everything…) say that drinking hot tea is good for the sinuses (the steam, I imagine). I got a shipment from The Republic of Tea, and I definitely want to taste it! Yum! The banana chocolate tea is incredible, and the coconut chocolate tastes like a Mounds bar (just without the annoying coconut getting caught in your teeth ). Nothing exciting is going on right now. I’m not able to escape (not that it’s cold or sn*wy at the moment) because I have doctors appointments in a couple of weeks. Plus, I got this disheartening e-mail from the e-file service I use…headlined, “File now, pay later.” Do they know something I don’t???? The second season of Night Court started this week. Marsha Warfield, who played Roz in the original series, was back for a guest role, and she hadn’t lost a THING. “I can tell you’re Harry’s daughter,” she told Abby. “You can’t keep your nose out of everybody’s business, either.” They also ditched easily the weakest character in the reboot, Neil (played by Kapal Talwalkar). Sorry for the actor, happy for the audience. Here’s hoping you have a great 2024! The photo is an egret in Florida. I took that in 2023 on my state park tour.
