I have a floating search icon that is annoying.

I just did a test and took a screenshot to see if the icon was a mylot addition or just in my phone. It appears to be just in my phone because it didn't show up in my pic of the screenshot.
It's annoying because it hangs out near the dialog box when I'm responding to someone's discussion or replying to a response on mine. If I need to fix some typos before posting I need to remove several words or letters before the typo because the search icon is hovering right on top of my last letter.
My phone updated recently and I'm guessing it came with the update. I'd like to remove the icon but haven't a clue how to do that.
Oddly enough it's not in this discussion dialog box.
The image is from the ai generator that I have on my phone. I thought I'd see if it could come up with a logo from my journal pen name. It didn't, but I do like this pattern.

@LadyDuck when I scroll in my page it remains in one spot. It's almost like it's on the face of my phone rather than on the page itself.
If I remember, when I'm at my sister's again I'll see if she knows. I might also ask her to take a pic of my phone and I can upload it to show everyone.

Check the display settings on your phone and remove the search icon. I hope it works. The pattern is beautiful.

I just looked there and other places in my settings and didn't find any way to remove that.

@mildredtabitha that's okay. I did search a pixel help thing and there were related questions for floating icons just not search ones. The helps given didn't cover my situation.

Hmm I don’t think I have seen this. I just did an update on my phone last night and it downloaded a “journal” app. That was not expected so I deleted it. I don’t need any more apps on my phone it starts glitching when I add more as it becomes so overloaded.

A journal app wouldn't work very well unless your can use a stylus with your phone.

That would be nice but for that to happen I might need to contact the pixel people. I think it only shows up when I'm on mylot.

It might be here to stay unless they realize one day or was added by mistake or they get a lot of complaints. Although I don't even know who to complain to.
