We are off to visit my sister soon. We didn’t get to see her at Christmas so we’ll take her present up with us. I put a photo of it up a while back of a dachshund dog with a welcome sign on it. I hope she likes it.
I’m also returning some books and hopefully will swap a couple at the little library at the end of her road.
Later: Well, we brought my sister back home with us as there is a bushfire watch and act warning on their area. There are major bushfires there. Half the 80+ goats have been taken to safety and the others may go after they’ve been milked. So far no homes have been lost and no people injured. Let’s hope it stays that way. Temperatures today were over 100F.
The photo is of my sister and mother. I’ve used it before.

Wow the temps there were hot. That almost sounds enjoyable compared to the minus temps here.
I hope your enjoy your time with your sister. How far away does she live?

@JudyEv I'd have joined you in both of those. I was going to visit my sister this afternoon to do our weekly puzzle, but I decide I should wait and make sure my dizziness wasn't a virus. I still think it's sinus related.

Love the picture. I'm glad your sister is home with you. I'm also glad that they were able to move some of the goats and that no homes were lost or people injured. 100F is much too hot! Stay cool and enjoy your day.

It was good you could give her a place to be out of any possible danger. I am glad you got to spend time together, making memories.

I love to go on the swings. Unfortunately, there aren't any around here. Stay safe.

Gosh I am so glad to hear no homes have been lost or people injured. I am glad your sister was able to go to your house for safety. Moving 40 goats probably wasn’t an easy task. I hope the rest are able to be moved too but I don’t want anyone in danger to do that.

I love the photo Judy. A treasure.
She is younger than you I assume?
Quite the opposite in temps here as you'll see by my post.

That weather looks so good. They seem to be enjoying themselves. We need the fires here it's so cold.

I’m reading backwards, so I saw your post that she went home because the fires have diminished near her home. I hope she enjoyed the visit and her Christmas present.

@JudyEv — I had not. I looked it up, and it’s apparently Australian slang for a run of bad luck.

It would be very devastating to have your home go up in flames.
