Car still will not start, and it is snowing.

I did not think snow was in the forecast, but there are big white fluffy flakes swirling around in the sky.
After I go get the trash can back to the house, I think I will make some chili.
Cook and eat, eat and cook. In between do some dishes. I cleaned out a small cupboard in the wardrobe I hang coats in.
The cats are very curious about all my activities.
I need to cover some more windows and doors.
Bob has called our favorite mechanic, but he is quite pricey to get here because of distance. I wish he would call someone more local.
I wonder if they will close school tomorrow as well. I guess it will depend on how much snow we get this time.

Thankfully no snow in my forecast for the next few days but still very cold. What are you covering doors and windows with? I used that shrinking stuff on a couple windows, should do some more. And a flannel sheet over the back door.
In my last place, I used a clear shower curtain on my bedroom window, as well as a thermal curtain at night.

I have some clear shower curtains for that purpose. Also some flannel sheets.

It IS the battery, even though it is only a year old, or thirteen months. Bob's truck starts and he will get to take me to work tomorrow. He is putting gas in it now. He can, perhaps, charge the van battery from the truck but I would like him to wait until it warms up a bit.

@GardenGerty Since he can take you I would wait for warmer weather. That battery isn't very old at all.

The snow will be less than an inch. Bob's truck works. If I did not need to be early to school I would just ride the school bus. Bob will just have to get up and take me to work tomorrow. This dratted wind chill is hard if you do not have a garage.

Cold weather. It really drained the battery and we did not drive anywhere for three days. Bob's truck works, but I will not drive it. He will have to get up and drive me to work.

Is there an online portal or app to find local mechanics there?

We know a more local place, but Bob will not call them. I will make sure he has the number and calls while I am at work tomorrow.

That is what that agency is supposed to do, eventually, but girl, you have a big gap at your door.

Yes, housework is so repetitive and sure gets old. We will have nice weather again in a short time. Just have to get through February(Brr!!) and a bit of windy yucky weather in March.

Some of the school districts are closed today. I imagine it's because of the cold. Have a good day and stay warm. I hope you get the car started.

I see it's the battery which once the weather turns cold can be susceptible especially if it's a number of years old. Mine was 5 years old and I just replaced it. With temps below freezing here now I'm glad I did.
We will be getting snow tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully not too much. I really dislike it, if only it could stay just on the trees and not the roads.
