Dirty Dealings in Georgia

You might recall Charlie Daniels hit song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," and although Charlie was singing about another devil, you could apply this tune to one Georgia District Attorney in 2024. Yes, it seems D.A. Fani Willis is under investigation for misusing Federal funds and taxpayer dollars, to hire her "lover" to her legal team in pursuing the phony case against our 45th president. District Attorney Fani Willis is under "fire" as she has been linked to corrupt dealings, dipping into Federal covid relief and other funds to put her "boy toy" on the state payroll. And with a paper trail of payments from Fani's office made out to her lover Nathan Wade, it severely puts her credibility and career in jeopardy. Fani Willis finally admitted this week to her adulterous relationship with her boyfriend, whom she hired as a high paid consultant to prosecute the ridiculous election interference case against the former president. Seems if anyone might be guilty of a crime and needs her dirty Fanny cleaned up, it's not our 45th president, but a certain District Attorney who practices corruption in Georgia. And with a Congressional investigation loaming, and her need to explain those allegations, she needs to take the advice in The Band's song "The Weight," and take a load off Fani (Fanny) and come clean. ***IN OTHER "REAL NEWS"... The political persecution January 6th case brought against the former president by Jack Smith and the Biden administration may be falling apart. The court has removed from their docket the pending trial until after the November election. It appears for now the Dems attempt at putting their Republican opponent on ice has been "trumped." It's so hard to tell just what the media spews is true, I simply don't like #45 or #46, to me they're both too old to be in office, much like those over 70 congress men and women. There really should be an age protocol where someone over 70 should either be denied the right to run for office or else be extremely checked over by physicians to make sure they aren't affected by dementia which could easily be detrimental to the well being of our citizens especially our troops overseas.

Although this has no relationship to my post about Fani Willis you point about age is well taken. Of course, there are always exceptions where someone has a lot of energy in their 70's and is sharp of mind. Trump and Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa (90) would be examples.

The only point about that Fani chick is that I don't trust the media not to simply try to steer attention from something important to something mediocre ....... the destruction of 3 military troops should be #1 in the news right now.

@rebelann I think all relevant news is considered important. Especially when it can potentially impact an election again. And using political persecution to keep a presidential candidate off the ballot is definitely newsworthy. Here are some things one might consider which makes this an important news story in my view. 1. Willis stands accused of using part of a $488,000 federal grant allocated for the purpose of helping at-risk youths for her own "frivolous, unrelated expenses. Some of the money was used for Macbooks, clothes, and travel. 2. Why was Fani Willis and her romantic partner at the White House taking a meeting with administration officials? Were they colluding to set the trial of the 45th president to interfere with the upcoming election? Very suspicious!!! 3. Hiring her romantic partner with no criminal experience as special prosecutor in the case against the former president should be investigated and is worthy of being followed and reported on. He was paid $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022, a part of which was used to go on lavish vacations with Willis. That does not pass the smell test and stinks of "kickbacks" a crime. Very suspicious!!! 4. This person is prosecuting the former president for a crime, yet her actions speak of criminal activity, sounds hypocritical to me. 5. Then we have the Biden family business and all the unreported loot they received from China and Ukraine through Hunter. This ties in as it speaks to one system of justice for Trump and another for Biden and his family. Of course, the mainstream media will again try to bury this and divert your attention to news stories which do not reflect on this administration. I'm sick and tired of the b.s. I want factual news and I will question the fake kind. And I will respond with what I believe is truthful.

You know DB..these people are crooked from the get go..but I don't give 2 hoots who they sleep with. But I do care about their hatred and dogged determination and revenge ridden quest for vengeance against someone they don't even know about.

Yes, I agree somewhat with the infidelity thing except with those in political positions it can present a problem. There was a congressman from Ca. who was sleeping with a Chinese spy. Who knows what pillow talk security secrets she got out of him. With Fani Willis she used the relationship to defraud the government and us taxpayers. Hiring her romantic partner with no criminal experience as special prosecutor in the case against the former president is what can happen when your sexually compromised. He was paid $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022, which a part was used to go on lavish vacations with Willis. Again, a product of an illicit relationship which affects the people of the state of Ga. Hopefully, she gets what's coming to her for abusing her power and office. I'm with you on the revenge thing. Politics is such a dirty business!

SCOTUS NEWS Court won’t hear Trump immunity dispute now.. The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a request from Special Counsel Jack Smith to decide, without waiting for a federal appeals court to weigh in, whether former President Donald Trump can be tried on criminal charges that he conspired to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Smith had asked the justices to act quickly to resolve the dispute over Trump’s immunity during the 2023-24 term, but the justices turned him down, in a brief unsigned order issued on Friday afternoon. Which means a delay on his insurrection trial!!! So, the trial may or may not proceed before the election, but very well could be after. We have to wait and see. Yes, Real News! No comments on Fani huh? Why do even bother responding? It wastes my time and yours.

The January 6 case has been delayed but it is not falling apart nor is it occurring AFTER the election. It was removed from Judge Chutkan's docket pending the immunity case that is being considered by SCOTUS.

Yes, our country is filled with corruption now. When leaders of opposite parties' struggle for power nothing seems out of bounds to smear your opponent to gain an advantage.
