Is it trivia? I´m very angry.

I just learned that 99% of fires were either provoked by either human being´s stupidity or by human being´d evil. It is highly possible that these last fires in Valparaiso and Viña de Mar were caused by people. And there are experts checking into that. But I´ll give mankind the benefit of the doubt there. Who knows! But what I did see with my ewn eyes today was this. The goverment announced a curfew so that firemen, cops and ambulances could move and help. Yet tourists went to the house in ruins where people were crying for their dead ones to take a selfie with the wreck. And others stayed at the beach way past the curfew hours when no baywatchers were around to help. I am an old witch, I know. I´m not accepting excuses any longer. I would take those people and look the other way if a cop was too rough while taking them to JAIL. Because in these moments those people are a danger to society.

According to what I heard on world news, it is thought that the fires there were set. Seems to be much concern as your country is already so dry and hot. They also were concerned about all of the smoke it generated and it's damage to people's health. Be safe, Marga.

There are still some smaller fires that need to be put out.

@MarieCoyle It seems that it is very difficult to put out a fire if there are trees because the tree roots are still on fire underneath.

We talked to a local fire-fighter the other day and one of their problems was trying to deal with the 'rubber-neckers' as we call them. These people just hang around to sticky-beak and get in the way of the workers.

There are many things people do that I think they merit jail or fines. I just can´t understand people that are going to take pictures of these fires to upload them to their blogs and receive "likes". It is more than disgusting! They even fill streets with their cars that need to be ready for the firemen

@marguicha Yes, that's what's happening here. People just get in the way of the men trying to do their job.

I'm sorry you're having fires in those locations. I agree with you, those people should not be taking selfies with the fire.

Even going there to "watch" should be penalized.

The same goes for the fires in the US. Many are caused by people. Such a sad situation.

I've heard some weird excuses from people about how fires are started, but it still boils down to human stupidity or carelessness most of the time. Those fires look very serious and the smoke will be hazardous, stay safe

Most of the time wild fires start because people do stupid things, or they start the fire on purpose. It is a shame and those people should be burnt at the stake.

Human stupidity knows no bounds. I only hope that those responsible also had their homes burnt down.

People are stupid and wicked. I often think that parents should teach their children how to be decent people instead of showing them their love by giving them electronic gadgets.
