6 February - What I was Thankful for Yesterday

Sorry about that. I know you're probably wondering what happened to the Thankful post. Was she so unthankful she couldn't talk about it? No. I wasn't unthankful. I was so busy I forgot about it until now. Yesterday was an unplanned, wonderful day, with much to be thankful for. Tuesdays are normally Bible study, shopping, and on the first Tuesday of the month, Writer's Guild. Most of that didn't happen. My friend down the hall whose church I go to for Bible study was sick yesterday and her friend who lives close had a doctor's appointment. So, no Bible study. However, I'm thankful for the opportunity to go with my neighbor shopping during that allotted time. I picked up some ice cream to go with the dinner I have planned for my pastor and his wife on Monday. I'm making pot roast and apple crisp for dessert. The ice cream will go perfectly with the apple crisp. They also took me to my bank so I could cash the insurance check. They also needed to go to the hardware store. I found the liner in stock for my grocery cart. It will come in handy today. I'm thankful I got all my steps yesterday. I had all of them when my neighbor called me to invite me shopping with her. I didn't have time for the foot cycle, but I did get almost 10K steps, so it's a win with all the walking I did in the stores. I'm thankful for Writer's Guild last night. I wasn't home long when my friend picked me up. I put the salmon in the fridge. I'll have it today, maybe. Writer's Guild was good. We're going to have a workshop in June, inviting the other writer's clubs in the area. It sounds like it will be a fun event. Of the three choices for location, one is free. Of course, that's the one we chose. When I got home, I found a text from a dear myLotter who has been absent from here for a while. He doesn't know if he's coming back. You might remember him - @DaddyEvil. My neighbor called during Writer's Guild and asked me to take care of Missy last night and this morning. So, I did that and after messaging with @DaddyEvil, went to bed, completely forgetting this post. I'm thankful for the work I did on Wilderness Cry. Not a lot, but every sentence paves the way for the next. We'll see if I have time to work on it again today. So, there you have it. I had a lot to be thankful for yesterday, just not enough time to write about it. Now, I must get dressed. My son will be here within the hour to take me shopping. He'll be here at 6 AM.
