What did you have for dinner last night?

I had some leftover Thai soup and white rice that needed eating. So I enjoyed it for dinner last night. I warmed up the rice in the oven and headed up the soup (called Tom Kha Gai) in a sauce pan. I added some sliced Serrano peppers, water, a sliced mushroom, and a single chicken buillon cube to the soup as I heated it up. It was yummy. Do you ever add stuff to leftovers to flavor them up a bit?

@NJChicaa What ingredients do you need? I am now on an all-chocolate diet. But I may need some "enhancements" on the side.

@TheHorse the recipe I guess, what makes any pie the way it is?. Chess pie has a lot of sugar in it, as well as butter..so a small amount is advised.

I always recycle leftover trying to make a new dish using them. Yesterday I made a very simple dinner, an hamburger patty with lettuce and tomatoes salad, seasoned with a "Thai" dressing.

@TheHorse I prepare the dressing mixing olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a little soy sauce, chopped fresh garlic and ginger and a couple of drops of tabasco sauce.

@TheHorse Homemade chicken and rice or chicken noodle soup isn't hard at all to make. If you decide to make them, I'll tell you how to.

We stopped at DQ on the way home from rehab. I got a DQ box of chicken strips, fries and Texas toast. Will last me two meals. I just eat leftovers the way they are. Have a good day.

I don't do the cooking anymore but I used to add to leftovers. It's hard to make it so kids will like it.

We do sometimes mix leftovers. It could be a Gravy or Non-Gravy veggie to Rice. Or mixing Two kind of Lentils or Veggies. This night, we had Tea with snacks because our lunch was quite delayed. Wishes for a great new week ! Are the rains still coming in your area?

I transform leftovers all the time to do something else. Just today I took some boiled rice, diced bunch onions, diced cheese and 2 eggs and had a rice omelette for lunch.

When I have leftovers I have always added different things to make them like new. I made a bigger meal today by slow-cooking chicken thighs with diced tomatoes. Once done I had a good meal with rice and now have more for tomorrow. I am an impulsive eater, While I was putting the rest of the rice and chicken away I was thinking of having my favorite dessert cottage cheese with strawberry preserves. However, instead what happened is that I scooped up some cottage cheese and poured some of the chicken bouillon with diced tomatoes from the cooking over the cottage cheese and it turned out to be delicious also savorty,

@TheHorse it actually tasted very good. But then again people do use cottage cheese when making lasagna so it does pair well with tomatoes,

I usually doctor up leftovers when reheating them or just turn them into something completely different. Last night I had a chicken cobb salad.
