Doing My Best to Stay Awake

I've been going to bed earlier every night. So, I've been getting on the computer when I'm done watching TV to help me stay up later. It's only 8:18 and I feel like I could fall asleep any moment. It also means I will be awake around 1 AM if I go to bed this early. I just finished the notifications again. So, I thought I would do one last post for February. How did your Leap Day turn out? I hope it was good. I heard some people took the day off to do other things on Leap Day besides work. I didn't do anything special. Just the usual. Canasta because it's Thursday. I did find a few cookbooks that interested me on the give and take table in the community room. One was the Weight Watchers one with all the points in it to help with weight loss. I might try to use the point system as I work my way down to a good weight. I'm not changing diet programs. I like the blood type diet. It's working well for me. I'm down 21 pounds since I started it back in June of last year. There was also a casserole cookbook, and a slow cooker one. I think I took that one too. Yes, I did. It has a recipe in it for gyro soup. I'm planning on trying it since I love gyros. I also have a low fat country cooking cookbook. That one should be interesting as I didn't know you could do low fat with country cooking. All the recipes I've seen for country cooking are amazing and rich. They all have potential. I don't usually use a cookbook, but since I have them, I might as well see what I can find in them. Okay, I think it's safe for me to go to bed now. I'll still be up early. I need to do laundry in the morning. I also have the nurse here tomorrow. She called a few minutes ago to confirm she would be here and what time to expect her. At least I won't need to waste a whole day waiting for her like I did yesterday. It's also payday tomorrow. I need to ask someone to take me to the bank. I don't need anyone to tell me how many days until spring - 21. I can only hope we get some spring snowstorms since we didn't have too many in winter. My grandson's birthday is normally on the first day of spring. This will be the first time since he was born 32 years ago that it isn't on March 20. It's also time to change the door decorations to St. Patrick's Day. I'm Irish. It's only right I show off my heritage. I know it might not seem like it because of my last name, but my mother was half French and half Irish. I don't need to do spring cleaning as I've already cleaned the apartment twice in winter. I even dusted. So, it can wait a while before I do any more deep cleaning. What are your plans for tomorrow or today if it's already March 1st where you are? Thanks for reading.
