Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!

I can't believe it. In a previous post today I explained my frustration with my doctor's office. Trying to get a paper signed for a medical release from jury duty for my daughter. Took the paper in last Monday (2/26) and was calling today to get the status on it being signed by my doctor. After I called them I put my phone on the charger. Around noon I saw that the office gal had tried to call me twice. (Weird that it didn't ring through.) So I called back about 2p. to talk to Hanna and explained the reason for my call. She said she'd check and call me back. She did and are you ready for this folks?---- THEY COULDN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE!! Stress is rising. Hanna was going to check around some more and call me back. When I got off from speaking with her I called the Jury Commissioner's office, talked to the commissioner himself even, and requested ANOTHER document be sent. Hanna called back and said they couldn't find it. I told her that when the other document is brought in I will expect a paper from them proving it was brought in. We also discussed what I had wanted to do originally which was to bring the paper in and sit in the waiting room until the dr. was in between patients and she could perhaps come out and sign the paper since all she needed to do was put my daughter's name on it, date it, check the appropriate box and sign it. Then all is right with the world--Eezy peezy. She couldn't guarantee that the dr. could do that. She apologized, was very nice, and said that when she got off the phone she would check into how they could do this paper I would want proof and should have it available and ready when the SECOND doc was brought in. She called me again to verify my daughter's DOB. She called me once again to tell me THEY FOUND THE DOCUMENT!! It was a miscommunication all along. (I have explained it to a different gal at least twice.) So, my daughter is going down soon to pick it up.

I've been there. I typically have documents with me when I have an appoitment. Or, I'll literally make an appoitment for that very reason.

Sorry to hear you had this same experience. I like my doctor and they are efficient with the in-office stuff. They are kept pretty busy.

some people just don't get the message as easy as we try to explain our issues to them, I hate talking business on the phone, cause it's the worse way to get good info.

They are just busy and need to take a moment and breath. I hate talking business over the phone too but that is my only option since I am house bound.
