Music You've Probably Never Heard #10

For a while, right after the release of "Yellow," Coldplay quickly became a favorite band of mine. Their first few albums were spun many, many times and I couldn't wait for the next one to come out. Their last few have been disappointing as I feel they've simply run too far amok from their "sound" that first captured my ears. One song, and I believe it was the second one mass released was "Trouble," and I really enjoyed playing that song on my guitar. I never would have thought the song could work as something "heavy," until I heard a cover of it by a band called Emissary Echo. It rocked. I listen to this version these days more than the original Coldplay song. I am sure you have heard the original song, but I am sure you probably have never heard this version.

I am not all that surprised. I can't imagine you have Metallica piping through the house all day, either. lol

@LindaOHio lol. Somehow, I would find it kind of funny if you were blasting "Master of Puppets" over there and doing some head banging. lol

Rock music was always my favorite in highschool and Coldplay was one of my favorite bands. I liked their songs yellow, paradise, fix you and many more.. I don't listen to rock songs nowadays.

@porwest that is nice to know. I used to listen to metal too. My favorite band were bmth and slipknot but I don't listen anymore.

@mildredtabitha Never heard of Bmth, but I have heard of Slipknot. The latter was a little after my time.

I was definitely a metal head as a young'un. I still like it to this day, although my tastes in music have always been attuned toward a sort of alternative or indie sound which continues to this day.

@LadyDuck Being a bit of a "musician" I have pretty broad tastes in music, really. But I admit I have a strong interest in alternative and indie music.

Oh man, back when it came out, the Coldplay original, it was pretty popular. Although, I am not sure if it would have been popular in Switzerland.

I had forgotten about Trouble by Coldplay. This cover sounds so good.

They really rocked it up, and I never would have thought a song like the original one would sound as good. But I actually kind of like the rocked up version of it a bit better.

@NJChicaa Oh. Gotcha. I was going to say, Coldplay's version got a ton of radio airplay when it came out.

Coldplay's first few albums were awesome. I wish they'd go back to their roots.

It rocks out a not so rock song quite well, I think.
