Monday Morning Brief and Sunday Update

Good morning from sunny, mild Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. The temperature right now is 49 F and going up to 54. We're getting rain this afternoon. We need it, so I hope it will be more than hit and miss showers. Yesterday was a very good day. I had my neighbors over for dinner. I put the pot roast in the crockpot at 6 AM on high, and turned it on low while I was at church, then turned it on high again when I got home. Church was good as it usually is. Lots of hugs. I also talked to the woman in charge of counting, and I'll be counting for the rest of the month. Normally, it's only the second and third week and the fifth Sunday, which we have this month. The only day I won't count the offering was yesterday. When I got home, I made the apple crisp and my neighbor asked what they could bring. I told her the ice cream for the apple crisp. I had everything ready when they came over at two. The dinner was a hit, which made me happy. When they left, I ran the dishwasher then settled in the recliner for a movie and a couple of shows and a workout on the foot cycle. It was a very good day start to finish. Today's plans are light. I went down for the exercise class this morning and put in ten miles on the bike. I went down early so I could get the full ten if she played the short tape, which she did. Then I called the nurse who was supposed to be here last Wednesday. He called back. Lots of confusion. He had me down for March 12, not last week. So, instead of waiting until then, we did the phone visit now. As for the rest of the day, I'll be here, working on Wilderness Cry and Faith to Believe. It looks like I'll be publishing that one this year as I don't think I'm going to finish Wilderness Cry so I can publish Wilderness Challenge. We'll see. It could be early next year for that one. I looked for book covers on Pixabay for Faith to Believe. It's a mystery with a military bent. It's a story I've had finished for many years. I had sixteen finished novels at one time. I added two to the list since I started publishing in 2012. I'm also reading a book. I want to get that one finished and then give it away. I don't recommend it. I'm having a hard time reading it. Not that the story isn't good, it's the POV she's writing in. It's not the common first or third person, but second person and extremely hard for me to wrap my head around this one. She would have done better to write in third person. Okay, that's what my plans are for the day. How's your day going? Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay. A picture I chose for the cover for Faith to Believe.

I am so glad your dinner was a hit and you had a good Sunday. The nurse who had to call you does not seem very well organized. I like this picture.

He was organized, it was everything else that was in confusion. His records showed he was to call me on the 12th. The care navigator had him down for last Wednesday. He found that note. He also saw that the other house call nurse was supposed to be here last Wednesday. She had called last Sunday to reschedule it to this past Friday. He understood why I was so confused. I won't be dealing with the house call nurse anymore, only him. My next phone visit with him is at the end of May. Thank you. I selected five pictures as possibilities for the cover.

@just4him - Now I understand who created the confusion, better only to deal with him. This picture looks very appropriate for your book.

@LadyDuck The confusion came from the care navigator and the house call nurse I saw last week. Not him. I prefer him. He cares and is interested in what I'm doing. He remembered I published my last book in November. I'll keep someone who is interested in their clients. Thank you. I thought so too. I'll post the others too for feedback.

I hope you're able to accomplish everything you want to get done. My plans are to focus on Mylot today and do a little light house cleaning. I think I'll run the dishwasher today, too.

Looks like you are moving on to another book. It's rather weird at times how some writers choose their POV and all. Everyone has their own way of looking at things.

Yes, it is. To choose second person isn't usual. It's hard to read.

Second Person writing sounds highly unusual. I suppose it would have sentences like "You are doing .... You ought to ..."? Anyways, looks like your weather would have big ups and downs in the coming days. Have a nice day! My sleep time is here....

The dialogue is fine. Second person has she's, wants, words ending in s. Almost universal POV, but not quite.

Life is difficult enough without the confusion...Oh well. Sorry you aren't enjoying the book. Day is kind of frustrating thus far..but whatever, such is life.

Yes, it is. Nobody needs confusion. I'll be glad when I finish it and can get rid of it. I'll most likely put it downstairs in the community room either on the give and take table or on the bookshelves. I'm sorry your day is frustrating.

Yesterday I worked on my mother's diamond painting. I also finally got a change of address on my ID. I got the news last week that the deed to my uncle's house is finally in my name. I had been waiting on finding out if I was going to keep the house before changing the address.

I can imagine writing in the second person would need a lot of skill. Perhaps she was trying to stretch herself.

If she did, she did it with the wrong story. It needs third person.
