Work on Saturday

I don't really like working on Saturdays since I have my husband and children at home, however, I admit that the days off work come in handy. I get a day and a half off for every Saturday I work. Today is one of those Saturdays, I got in early in the morning and I'm about to go home. The library is full, there are lots of people coming to get books and films and we even have a children's book presentation. When I leave I'm still going to do some grocery shopping and I hope to still be able to do some house chores. The weather is awful, cold and rain here, the temperatures right now is only 4ºCelcious, to low for me Are your libraries also open on Saturdays? Plans for this Saturday? Our libraries are closed on Saturday, that is a shame because more people are only free on weekends.

It's raining and cold here too. Getting time off for working on Saturdays does come in handy. I would imagine libraries would be busy on a Saturday.

Here the weather is improving and today it is sunny. We are always busy on Saturdays, so people who can't come during the week take Saturday to pick up books and DVDs.

@nela13 one of my granddaughters is going to college to be a librarian. She just got some sort of certification to work at the library and get paid. For the past year or two she's been a volunteer there.

Working on Weekends is not pleasant. However, if you are getting sufficient comp off (compensatory off) in lieu of those working days is good. Have a nice day ahead! Wishes for your daughter.

Sounds like a busy Saturday! Library sounds lively with the children's book presentation. Ugh, that weather is rough - stay warm! Do libraries normally open on Saturdays where you are?

Here libraries only close on Sunday, we are always busy on Saturdays. The weather is a little bit better but still very cold for me.

I live down the street from one of our libraries, and it is always packed with people every day, but on Saturdays it’s even more busy than usual. I’m very happy to see that so many people still see the value and importance of libraries, especially in this day and age of computers, internet and other electronic media.

Here we have 9 degrees Celsius. It's still cold. The libraries are open on Saturdays. I went outside with my mom today. It was a sunny day. Now I plan to write here.
