Power Ball Jackpot - $750 million Mega Millions Jackpot - $977 million My husband's cousin took me for a dentist appointment yesterday. After the appointment we finally went to Red Lobster to celebrate my birthday. They have completely changed their menu; but I was able to have my usual dinner by ordering ala carte. It was nice to get out for a change. I will eat my Meals on Wheels meal this weekend. A goat in Western Minnesota has tested positive for bird flu. This is the first case of its kind in US history. It has previously been found in skunks, dogs, cats; and the virus killed a polar bear. The goats shared a space and water source with a poultry flock which had the bird flu; and the owner noticed strange deaths among his juvenile goats. No other cases have been detected among the goat population. US surgeons have transplanted a pig kidney into a 62-year-old patient in Boston. Previous temporary attempts have been made among brain[dead donors. Two more received heart transplants but died within months. How do you feel about animal parts transplants? Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Red Lobster - Cheddar Bay Biscuits, lobster flatbread, clam strips, bay scallops, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I had a coupon for a free Chocolate Wave cake and ice cream for my birthday which I took home. Dessert/Snack - Chocolate Wave cake and ice cream Dinner - None What did you eat yesterday? I hope that kidney works out and the guy doesn't resort to snorting and playing in the mud all of a sudden. It IS amazing, though, what medical technology can do. Glad you were able to get out a bit and enjoy a good meal. You probably needed that. For dinner I kept it simple and just made On-Cor riblets with a salad and some macaroni and cheese on the side.

Yes, it was good to get out. Haven't been out to dinner in months. On-Cor riblets are so good.

I saw that about the pig. I wouldn't want an animal part transplanted in me. Your birthday dinner looks good. Happy Birthday. I changed up breakfast a little bit. I made oatmeal with Bran Buds and blueberries, and a banana. Lunch - Lettuce salad. Snack - DC Dove Promise. Less than 1000 calories. I'm hoping for good results on the scale.

I have read the news about the transplant. I am not sure I would be happy to have animal parts transplanted in my body.

That will be bad news for goat owners. Vince's new heart valve will be either from a pig or a cow. We're not complaining.

The cake was OK. Not as good as the Chocolate Stampede from Longhorn.

Hope the patient didn’t like pork chops because he probably will have an aversion to eating them from now on. Went to Tumbleweed to check on the server friend of mine who had a stroke. She’s in rehab and doing well. I had a chicken burrito and baked potato there, and infamous potato soup (this one had broccoli in it) for dinner. And apples!!!

Glad you got your birthday dinner. I picked up tickets for both of the lotteries yesterday for 2 weeks. I would not want to be a tester for those parts. But if they prove to work it would ease the back up needing parts. I know they have successfully used pig heart valves for years
