26 March - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from rainy, mild Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. My computer says 44 F and windy. It must have just gotten windy because it was nice most of the day. Rainy, but warm in the mid to high 50s.
Today has been busy. I sat down for the first time a few minutes ago when I got on the computer. I have so much to be thankful for today.
I'm thankful for the sleep I got this morning. I asked the Lord to give me only six hours of sleep. He did. I was up at 4 something. I had a good night's sleep.
I'm thankful for Bible study this morning. It was fun. Time flew! I gave my input and at one time the Bible study teacher had to tell me to be quiet. Can you imagine? I was getting ahead of her. She didn't want me to get ahead of her lesson. It was so funny, I was laughing and the others said my face turned red from the interaction between us. It was all good. At one point she asked if I wanted to lead the lesson. I said, No, she could.
I'm thankful for getting home from the study when I did. My son's girlfriend picked me up literally five minutes after I got home.
I'm thankful for the clerk at Spectrum. When we walked in I expected a long line. We were the only ones. No waiting. When I explained the situation, the clerk looked through what she could offer me. Instead of my bill going up to $92, it's going down to $37. I can handle that. God is so GOOD!
I'm thankful for the shopping trip to Hy-Vee. Remember I said I needed to buy eggs today? When I got home and looked in the fridge as I was putting the few groceries away that I bought, I realized I didn't buy the eggs. Oops! It was still a good shopping trip. I saw one of the clerks who used to work at the meat counter giving out samples. She moved to the front of the store making special sandwiches. I bought one for me and my son's girlfriend.
I'm thankful I got home when I did so I could go over to the office. I am so thankful I did. The state manager for the complexes the owner owns was here. She had been the manager here until she was promoted. When she was manager last, she put the hammer down on my having a book club featuring my books. Today she asked me if I was going to do it and gave her full endorcement to get the book club going. When I told my friend who does the decorating here what she said, she was shocked and happy. So, as soon as we can, we're going over to the library and fill out the paperwork so I can get my books into the library so I can have the book club.
I'm thankful for my friend, the decorator and the person who will renovate the community room and is doing the Easter egg hunt. We went shopping. She needed white lunch bags, and I needed eggs. We ended up at Wal-Mart, the only place with white bags. I got eggs for $9.98/five dozen. Now that's a deal @porwest. I also got the party egg dying kit. It does 100 eggs. So I have what I need to dye eggs this weekend. By the time we left Wal-Mart her cart was loaded and I was exhausted from all the walking I did all day. I'll be helping her get everything ready for the egg hunt. It should be fun.
I'm also thankful to all of you. You're a huge part of my day, even though I couldn't get here much today. I did get the notifications done twice so I could find out how you're doing in your part of the world.
I'm also taking care of Missy tonight and tomorrow morning. In the meantime, I have over 10K steps. I'm not going to use the foot cycle tonight. But I am going to put my feet up, relax, and watch TV. It was a very good day.
What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

@MommyOfEli2013 For five dozen? Yes, it is a good price when you can get them at an even lower price.

@just4him Although when we could get them for $5 or $6 that is even better...

I am so glad that you received a much better offer from Spectrum. We are also planning to replace our provider, they are too expensive and finally not better than others.
I am thankful that the plumber came and it's only an inexpensive piece that he has to change.

@LadyDuck There are a lot of providers in the area, but you need to live outside of Green Bay to take advantage of them. The two in Green Bay, AT&T and Spectrum, have the same basic plans, but the service is so different between them.

I'm thankful for the nice weather. And, the fact George managed to stay dry pretty much all day. He's starting to care about that. He's also been waking up wet, but less so. His shirts are still soaked, but his peg tube dressing is dry. I'm still changing it daily because he's got a sore under his bumper. So, not much I can do about that. It's still progress.

Whew! I'm tired just reading all about your day. Busy is an understatement. Glad everything went well and that you could put your feet up, relax and smile.

@Marilynda1225 Feast or famine. It would be nice to have a nice pace throughout the day.

That was a busy day. Thanks for the update. I'm thankful that I will be seeing my husband on Friday and bringing him his cell phone so that he can call.

Hmm. Not as bad a price for eggs as I have seen recently, but $1.99 would have "keep it in the store" pricing for me. I actually got 3 dozen eggs at Ruler the other day for 99 cents per dozen. My threshold price right now for eggs is about $1.29.
