Back in Mississippi

I hope that you are all doing good. We are back in Mississippi. After I wrote my last discussion we had tornadoes in West Virginia. The winds were powerful and caused damage to many homes and businesses. Our home was spared, but the high winds blew the rain sideways and through our gable vent in the attic. Water ended up coming through the attic and from our living room ceiling. We lost power for two days. It seems that the foul weather has followed us to Mississippi. It is unheard of to have the tornadic weather in our part of West Virginia. We didn’t take the warning sirens very seriously at first. Weather seems to be changing all over. I really hope this was a once in a lifetime fluke of nature.

The ceiling will definitely need to be repaired. My husband will fix it on our next trip.

Wow, it must have been scary. I sent through a tornado once. I don't care to repeat it.

@Tampa_girl7 They are both bad. Really the most scared I was though was the earthquake aftershocks from the 2011 quake. We were in bed in the time and itwas terrifying.

@Tampa_girl7 I'm sure it was. You'll need to do more repairs the next time you go back there.

Nature is going to do what it wants. No matter what we do. It's good to see nature in action.

The weather does seem to be changing everywhere these days. Having a tornado in your part of West Virginia sounds pretty scary. The other day we had an earthquake here in Pennsylvania.

Wow, there were tornadoes in Mississippi last night! Maybe it’s you. (Just kidding) Hope everything is okay there. The storms were really bad down in Slidell, Louisiana.

The weather has definitely been changing over the years, and things that were unheard of just a few years ago seems to be routine now. We used to never have tornadoes in Florida, now it seems like there is one every time it rains here.
Weather forecasters are predicting a horrible hurricane season this year, they are saying that they are already alarmed that the conditions are turning favorable for tropical development this early in the year. I'm praying they are wrong, but I know they are probably right.

@Tampa_girl7 All we can do is try to be as prepared as possible for any eventual strikes that may occur. I have no problem evacuating if I feel that we would take a catastrophic hit. I've always wanted to move to Tennessee.

Actually, weather is changing drastically all over the world. Global warming is genuine, it's changing the entire earth.

@Tampa_girl7 The irate weather is everywhere, not just in South Carolina. We had five tornadoes touch down, in one night (three years ago). Not one person was injured or lost their life:) Prayer works, because God loves his people!
