It feels like a mighty long time

About two months ago Bob was told that he likely would be a good candidate for a referral for hyperbaric therapy. He had to wait and see what the urologist said. About one month ago, Bob was asked if he would be interested in the therapy. We had done some reading and such and immediately said "yes". They said to expect a call when they could start scheduling. I got the call and was asked what location would be best. He only will have to drive a half hour. A little over ten days ago we went to the wound treatment facility at the Newton Medical Center and had two and a half hours of discussion and information. They said they would need to hear from his cardiologist, neurologist, and pacemaker manufacturer before a final decision was made. At a little after 8 this morning the call came through. Next Monday will be his first treatment. He will have four treatments next week. I am already scheduled to be off work that day. I really wanted to be able to go to the first one with him. I had taken off because I have an appointment with a cardiologist later in the day. We shopped, and went out for a nice dinner this evening. We feel like it is a good start. Yay!!
