One penny away is better.

Prices that are 99 cents, $1.99, $2.99 and upward sell better than rounding up to $1, $2 and $3. People think they are getting a better deal when the item is a penny away from the whole number. It does seem strange but that is how it works. Have you tries the crazy puffs from Little Caesar's they are really good we got some today.
We went to two garage sales and did not buy anything. There is one tomorrow that we will go to.
My friend is still waiting to hear about the building they are trying to buy to sell their stuff in.
It rained all day* so it was nice going to indoor garage sales.

I have seen those prices for many years. Always makes me smile for those who think they are saving something. I used to love garage sales. When I had guardianship of my granddaughter we would get up early on Saturdays, clean the apartment and then go yard saling.

Yes, 99cents sounds like a real bargain until we stop to think, it's only a penny different! Our garage sales will start pretty soon, the weather is getting nicer. The rain finally stopped here, also:)

Yes that is why they make the prices look good like that.

We had a sunny day, I have noticed that prices always keep changing, However,, I am glad I found Walmart since I could afford more groceries through their Great Value brand than anywhere else,

@jstory07 I don't know anything about Winco. They do have them here but I cannot get gift cards for this store but I can for Walmart, Anyway I will check them out,

my sister said she may come to my house next weekend as she wants to gather some of the things my family has gathered over the last 50+ years and take them to a neighborhood garage sale.

@jstory07 I think she is taking things for a garage sale in her neighborhood. Last year there was one that was for my whole town and my sister took things from my house and made a lot more money than she expected.
But nobody bought my books as I think she charged way too much for single books
