How's your Sunday?

As we all know, life changes by the moment.
Yesterday after our wonderful family gathering and fish cooking, the kids drove back to Robert's to spend the night. We were going to meet them in Greenville for lunch, then they'd start for home on their seven hour drive.
By the time they left here last night, I knew I wasn't going to be up to the hour drive to Greenville, lunch, and the drive back. Anyway, this will give them an earlier start on the trip home.
The church we went to (Church of God) for many years when our kids were young is having a 75th celebration and dinner today. We hated to miss it, but when I realized I couldn't meet the kids for lunch, I insisted that Dale go to the church celebration.
He refused until I convinced him I wouldn't be any better or worse if he was here or not. It will be really great to visit with a lot of former pastors and friends. Our years there were some of the happiest in our lives. I wish I could be there.
So, we never know if life will happen like we expect it to. And that can be good or bad.
I'm sure thankful God knows what's going on even when we don't.

@1creekgirl Yeppers. I just did a bit of oiling in the sun. My table is ready for Summer action. I could have the chairs done in 15 minutes if I put my mind to it.

I´m in bed as it is a very cold day and I´m faighting against turning on the heater before May 1st. Every once in a while, I bring snack to my bedroom.

@1creekgirl I am. I have some potatoes boiling and have some leftover mayo and other spices from yesterday. I´ll make a warm potato salad today.

It's Dale, Tammy and Robert when they were taking karate classes. I'm still waiting for the insurance to approve the procedure for my back. You sure know how that feels. Any news?

I was at church all morning with my two daughters. We attended mass, then the children studied catechism. In the afternoon we planted trees together and had dinner together. Sunday is family day.
