Our housekeeper decided not to come yesterday. She will come early this morning before the trash pickup people come. It sounds like her youngest boy has what I have. So much sickness going around these days. Someone was supposed to come by at 4 pm yesterday to give me an estimate on the step and railings. He was a "no-show". Sigh. Breakfast - Protein bar Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, peas, pears Dessert/Snack - Blueberry muffin Dinner - PB&J sandwich What did you eat yesterday? When it rains it pours! Do you get that Nextdoor newsletter? It is online. You can usually get good recommendations on local people from that. I had spaghetti last night..

@LindaOHio If you want to find a good contractor, I would sign up for it. Lots of interesting stuff probably happening in your area that you don't know about.

I love your lunch except for the peas! I had stuffed cabbage for Easter. When you grow up in my family stuffed cabbage and pierogies that we had for Easter too can show up at any meal! I had: Breakfast: yogurt and cottage cheese and two blueberry pop-tarts For lunch, I had a turkey sandwich dinner: frozen meal of beef pot roast in gravy with vegetables and potatoes. It was quite yummy! but not enough so I think I will start adding more to my frozen meals also, I was too busy yesterday to have time to eat more! Have a super day!

@LindaOHio thanks! I did! I went to the library and borrowed some new books and bought five bookmarks as I am a new bookmark collector. them. Then grocery shopped and didn't spend that much

Man that estimate is turning into a nightmare! The job should have been completed by now! People don't care anymore and that is no way to run a business! Dinner was shrimp creole over rice. Quick and easy, and moreso when hubby is the chef on Wednesdays when I go to boutique!!

No. They must have more business than they need. They will be sorry when off-season comes and they have no customers.

Your lunch was awesome. I had take-away food last night: chicken bbq with java rice. It wasn't that spectacular. The chicken was tough and needed more grilling. The pickled papayas weren't good either. The only thing that I liked was the peanut sauce.

I had a vegetable omelette and toast for breakfast/lunch. Usually I do eat breakfast and have a salad for lunch but it was a wild day. I had salad with grilled chicken for dinner and a corn muffin. I think I was just too tired to eat! Well, tomorrow is another day, I’ll hopefully do better.

@LindaOHio - This is true, this is why during Covid they did not let grandparents meet their grandchildren.

I made my special sauce with melted salted butter, soy sauce, some Italian dressing and Thai sauce. Poured it over two chicken drumsticks and baked them and had them with them with tater tots,

We went o ut for lunch yesterday. I have barramundi (fish) and then had a banana split for dessert. It's very rare that I have room for dessert but I love banana split so I made room for it yesterday.

I LOVE ice cream. When I worked downtown in the 60s, on an upper floor of a close department store had an ice cream parlor. I went up there once and had a banana split for lunch! YUM!
