Looking Forward To The Holiday Weekend

Happy Friday Everyone! it's a nice sunny morning here in my little corner of the myLot world. A big change from yesterday.
Yesterday morning we got hit with a pretty bad thunderstorm with high winds and lots of booming thunder and lightning. It knocked out our internet and power all around town.
Since my daughter works from home, having no internet put a big glitch in her workday. Of course she had tons of things that needed to be done and no access. We finally got our internet back by mid-afternoon so she got stuck working until after 7pm last night. I felt so bad for her but knew there was nothing I could do for her stress.
Today is off to a much better start. The lawn crew is here mowing since they didn't come yesterday.
Nothing much going on today. I'm waiting for a delivery from Walmart, a package from Amazon and a return phone call from the company that does power washing. I want an estimate to have the house power washed but I'm trying to decide on two different companies.
We're heading into a holiday weekend and my daughter only has to work half a day today. We don't have any specific plans for the weekend but I'm sure we'll do a barbecue either here or at my older daugthers house.
Now I have to catch up here since I wasn't here yesterday.

Hope you only get showers and not any bad storms. I was surprised that our storm turned out to be as bad as it was.

The weekend here doesn't look all that great..with the potential for storms everyday .Sunday into Monday. If I decide the deck is safe enough..I will do some grilling, and hopefully take in a movie.

I am glad you have power and internet back. Right now, it's a sunny day. Trying to talk George to going to Pet smart, but he seems to be doing alright. Could be worse.

@Tampa_girl7 A Catholic holiday "Corpus Cristi". This is the third Catholic holiday of the month of May, we had Ascension Day, Pentecost and now this one.

I dislike it so much when the internet doesn't work. We have it do weird things sometimes. Luckily my grandson can usually get it back on track. We sure expect a lot from the internet nowadays don't we?

I am just so amazed that we are at the end of May already, almost in the sixth month of the year, time is flying.
