Need a Pair of Summer Shoes

Last month, I bought a nice pair of summer boots. I really like them and wear these boots every day.
Now, I need a pair of summer sneakers. Something a lot more comfortable for the warmer weather. Jay has four pairs of sneakers, he wears them all year long. One pair is strictly for the gym, street shoes aren't allowed on the gym floor.
This is a photo that I borrowed from Pixabay. It's not exactly the style of sneaker I'm trying to find. And the price range, it has to be fairly reasonable.(of course)

Shoes??? SHOES???? What are they??? I can't wear shoes because of the break to my ankle from my having my motor scooter fall on it a few year ago. Nothing will fit around or across the ankle. I also can't wear socks either. I have around 100 pairs of fancy decorated socks in a drawer that I would wear but can't even dream of getting over the instep and ankle of the left ankle and foot. So, I have a pair of sandals that I wear when I go shopping during sunny weather and a pair of clogs that I can wear somewhat during winter weather. Thing is, when I'm in the apartment I am totally bare footed. I can't even wear slippers, no matter how soft and stretchy (and fuzzy) they are. I'm thinking about getting another scooter and maybe falling on that left ankle again and seeing if the doctors can muck it up more so it's more 'normal', if anything about me is normal!

I saw some great looking slip on tennies on Tmu last night, not that I would order a pair...but if they have them maybe some other store might have them.

My friend Marilyn had a broken ankle, she fell on the ice. She had numerous visits to a specialist and he did surgery to correct this terrible injury. It took her about two years, to walk without a walker or assisted by Paul, her husband.

@BearArtistLady I have one weak ankle. At times, it's not working to hold me up. Thus, I fall!

@kobesbuddy I'm very onery and determined. I was out of the walking boot in less than three days and used the cane for about a week. I earned my condition honestly. Plus I was informed that the specialist corrected the compound break that the rest was to shattered from the fall against the rock to try to fix. I just do a LOT of advising that people be extra careful when they are up and on their feet. When you look at how the body is constructed, it's a LOT of weight for ankles to bear!

Sneakers are easy to find, but locating a size 5 is hard work.

Winter boots go into storage, summer shoes are more comfortable anyway.

Sneakers aren't too hard to find. But, narrowing it down to a size 5, is really hard.

Actually, Jay wears dress shoes to church and high boots whenever it snows.

Finding a size 5 is the problem, every shoe starts in a 5 1/2 or 6.

I'll probably end up buying them online. If I can find a size 5 somewhere.

I had one pair of tennis shoes, they were cute but not very practical. Pink doesn't go with everything!

I usually don't pay over $30 for a pair of shoes. If they are comfortable and stylish, I wear them until they fall apart:)

I've never owned a pair of Sketchers. Yet, I've heard from various ladies, they are extremely comfortable:)

I didn't know that about the gym, that's interesting to know. But it's always good to get a new pair of shoes for the season.

Street shoes damage the protective coating on a gym floor. That's why it's so glossy and it shines.

@kobesbuddy Never would have known that. Don't go to a gym though either

Finding shoes that fit properly and are comfortable is quite a chore. I hope you find a great pair of sneakers.
