My Life Seems to Change, More Each Day / myLot

This might sound strange to you, but Monday is my favorite day. It used to be Friday, years back while Jay was still working. Friday evening we would order food for supper, then relax while watching a good movie. We stopped doing this, for a while. After we sold the house, I really didn't feel like celebrating anything. I was homesick

Then, my favorite day was Sunday. We'd see people that like both of us. First, we'd go to church and enjoy some quality time with our friends. Jim and Nancy were people we were close with. When they divorced, my heart wasn't OK with stopping by Jim's home. Jay still visits, but I stay out in the vehicle. Paul and Marilyn were a couple we frequently spent time with. Then Marilyn had two strokes, one right after the other one. She was hospitalized for quite a while, but never fully recovered. Eventually, Marilyn passed away and we went to her funeral. For some reason, Paul and Jay have parted ways. My husband won't talk about it, which is fine with me, I guess. If they don't see eye to eye, that's not my fault. Now, I love Monday. Why? Because the busyness of the weekend is finally over. I need a slow paced life, that doesn't flow in the fast lane. Photo: Taken by Jay

Well we all change. Life can be like that. We've changed too since George's stroke. He knows he's doing better though.

@kobesbuddy I know. I've delt with chronic illness and disability my entire life. I got so used to it that I've even forgotten at times about my problems. But, then I see George. He used to complain about his joints. Not since the stroke.

@kaylachan I've always had an issue with unstable emotions. My childhood was a scrambled mess, but no one realized there was a problem. Our schools were filled with counsellors, they only worked with troubled kids. I just floated through school, in a boat with a hole.

Glad you have found Mondays and enjoy them, I cannot even pick a favorite day since they all seem to blend together. I will say that whatever day has the most good things happen for me is my favorite. I still like to spend late hours on Friday and Saturday nights just watching movies.

@kobesbuddy lately on Amazon prime, my husband and I are watching the Little House on the Prairie series. I watched it as a kid and am having fun rewatching it after all theses years. My husband never watched it as a kid and is enjoying it now.

We watch movies in the evening, because we don't have a television service. The programming is awful, our favorite series are gone now. I always liked Magnum PI, the newer version.

I can see that and if I were in your shoes Monday would signify the start of a slower and more relaxed pace, and I would welcome that too. You look glum in the photo, I hope that you are okay.

I found that rocking chair beside the road. Jay told me to sit down, but he didn't mention that he would take a picture! I wasn't prepared, the expression on my face is awful! It was taken over four months ago:(

I thought my mother was exaggerating, when she complained. Now, I'm ashamed of this. I wasn't as sympathetic as I should have been! Do I complain? Yes Mam and my mother is looking down from heaven saying, "See? I told you so!" Getting old isn't for sissies!

pretty picture. I liked Mondays because I would watch a movie. Now I watch movies on Fridays.

I love Mondays too. It's when I get to breathe after spending the weekend with family and attending to a galore of chores/errands. Maybe in a few years, when both my girls would be in college, life would be different again. For sure, I will miss the loud chatter at home and the endless clutter. I will have to embrace changes again and go with the flow.

Life is so full of changes. Some are good, and some are just really difficult. I am not a big country music fan, but I do often think about the Patty Loveless song, How Can I Help You Say Goodbye. Mama whispered softly time will ease your pain Life's about changing nothing ever stays the same And she said how can I help you to say goodbye? It's okay to hurt and it's okay to cry Come let me hold you and I will try How can I help you to say goodbye? Time can ease pain, yes. But deep pain and deep loss become part of who we are in our journey...some changes are easier to accept than others. With the house mess you've been in for awhile now, your life is not what you were used to, so it's all new territory for you. Sometimes, building a new chapter is just hard. I'm sorry, Kharla.

Life is unpredictable. Everything changes. I recollect the weekends enjoyable. Now, everyday has a challenge and sometimes I wonder if I have something to cheer or smile about. Perhaps only the paydays, but even those are not bringing the smiles I need. Well good to know you found peace. Enjoy the time!

There's absolutely nothing that I want to own or buy. I'm contented with what I have, most of the time. Yet, God understands that my emotions have never been stable, since childhood.

I can very well understand that you were depressed when Jay sold the house. I hope that you are getting better now that your new house is going to be built.
