Being home alone can feel a bit lonely, but there are ways to make it more enjoyable.
Right now, I'm alone in the house because my mother went to the dentist with her friend. So, I'll be cooking my own meals and cleaning the house by myself for now. To keep myself from feeling too lonely, I plan to play some music while I do the housework. It’s amazing how music can lift your spirits and make the chores feel less tedious.
Thankfully, my fiancé video calls me occasionally to check in. It's such a relief to have video calls available. They make a huge difference for people in long-distance relationships. Not only can I talk to him in real-time, but I can also see him, which makes the distance feel a little less daunting.
Although being alone can be challenging, finding small joys like music and staying connected with loved ones can make the experience much more manageable.
What do you do to stay connected with loved ones when you're feeling lonely?

I don't feel lonely often. When I was seperated from my husband, during his hospitlization. (I've cried and ranted about that) I did my best to get him transfered to another hospital, and I prayed for his safety. worst week of my life. He's home now, watching t.v. with me.
I use my alone time to do things I need to do. I'm his caregiver, so when he wants to go outside, or he goes to bed. (Or I put something on for a couple hours for him to watch) I can get work done. It's easy sometimes, and others I could spend an hour scrolling because he couldn't make up his mind.

I'm glad your husband is home and you're together again. It's impressive how you balance caregiving and personal time, even if it means a bit of scrolling while he decides what to watch. Stay strong and take care!

It's a good news he's back home with you. And I am sorry you have to go through that.
With my alone time, as in literally, when I woke up, there is no one I could check. My brother left for work and I did not hear the engine. Lol.
I will do the laundry today and probably binge watch.

There is so much one can do when one is alone Work is one's best companion apart from doing so many other things - watching tv, reading, and spending time online

Staying productive and engaging in different activities can definitely make alone time enjoyable. I find that a good mix of work, hobbies, and some online interactions keeps things balanced.

I am alone in my home. My sister and the kids who stay in my house went on vacation. I will be alone here but next door is my brother's house.

It sounds like you have a peaceful time ahead with the house to yourself! It's great that your brother is nearby if you need anything. Enjoy the quiet and maybe take this time to relax or dive into something you enjoy. What are your plans while they're away?

@jobelbojel Maybe you could also explore some new places or try out different activities to keep things interesting. Hang in there, and make the most of your free time!

@annierose I am missing the noise after day 1 of being alone. It would be home-office-home for me. (my work on site schedule is every Tue and Wed). Maybe maximize my time in the Metro whenever I can. Meet up with friends.

That's wonderful, Lenore! Writing is such a great way to keep yourself busy and express your thoughts. Do you write stories, journal, or maybe something else? It's always inspiring to hear how different people stay productive and creative.
