Monday Morning Brief and Sunday Update

Good morning from HOT Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's currently 76 F though my computer says 77 F. It's supposed to get up to 87 F today with high humidity and rain. I have the A/C on. I hate the A/C and prefer having my patio door open. However, it's oppressive out there. I'm not going out there walking today.
That said ...
Yesterday was a great day. It was Father's Day. I grilled out with my neighbor's help as the grill master. It turned out very well. I had plenty of food and good company. My son and his girlfriend were here along with my next-door neighbors.
The morning was rain when I went to church and sunny and hot during the afternoon, just as the weather people predicted.
Today will be as hot as yesterday. It was 87 F yesterday too.
I have the laundry done and put away and took a wonderful refreshing shower before breakfast.
My plans for today are to not cook. I had leftovers for breakfast - potato salad and a hamburger.
I will also work on a book and play my game. For now, I'm here and will get the notifications done before I head into the hallways to get my steps. I might even hit the underground garage as it's always cooler down there in summer. I avoid it in winter.

Sounds like it was a nice Sunday/Father's day. Those sound like good plans for the day too. Sorry about the heat. It's 48 degrees here and windy. Yuck.

@just4him Yes today is cold....and it is windy so that don't help. Tomorrow should go back to the 60s, and then 70s the next day....

My a/c is on too and it's already hot. We're heading into almost 100 degrees this week . I'd almost prefer snow

We're at 87 F. Hopefully, it will rain soon. We don't need it, but maybe it will cool things off. Our heat index is in the 90s.
So, there are times you would like snow. I'm counting down the weeks until fall and cooler weather and then snow.

That's a nice photo. I'm glad you had a nice Father's Day. Yesterday our housekeeper was here and also an electrician. Today will be quiet and nothing planned. Have a good day. It will be 90ish all this week. I have to go to a doctor's appointment on Thursday; but other than that, I will be in the AC.

I'm glad it will be quiet today after the electrician yesterday.

We have 90s today. Thankfully, it's not all week, but we are in the high 80s with the heat index in the 90s.

Sounds like a good plan. It's Monday, so that means laundry. So, after I do George's tube, I'll get started on that. He might ask me to finish the races, so that'll give me a chance to wash my hair, too. So, we'll see about that.

What kind of book you are working on?
Anyway its good to know you enjoyed the Father's Day. We also had our left overs the net day as we also celebrated the special day of the dads.

I'm glad you enjoyed Father's Day too.
I'm working on a book involving the Mafia during the Prohibition era in the 1930s. It was also the time of the great Pentecostal revival. Bringing the two together made for an interesting story.

nice picture. I don't really celebrate Father's Day. I know Sunday would have been hard for my best friend. She lost her dad a few months ago. Yesterday I worked on my cousin's diamond painting. I also went to the grocery store.
