Stopping by to say goodbye to June.

We had car repairs before we left town Friday but we made good time until the last leg of our trip. We went through a rain storm so bad we had to get off the road for a bit.
The stop meant it was after dark when we got to the part we had never seen before and there was a lot of road construction. We made it any way.
Bit by bit I am adding my sites to my tablet.
It's bedtime but I wanted to say Hi.

@AmbiePam He actually did all the driving, while I navigated. We came up with a total of 2090 miles, in eight days.

Coming back I got confused for a minute as we passed Marion, Iowa. I thought of you and a couple of other friends, also in Marion, Ohio. Then I realized my mistake.

My daughter's house was our first destination. Originally we had one other plan, to go to the 60th reunion of Bob's high school class he did not get to graduate from. While up north he called his second cousin, who had been our best man. Bob said that Jeff sounded sad and lonesome, and so wanted to visit him as well. That was in Wisconsin. We had a full week.

There have been a lot of rain storms all along our route. I think the rain is needed, but the windshield wipers could not keep up.
