Today We Ordered Our House

Today, Jay filled out the paperwork so we can buy a pre-fab house. It was explained to me, this house will be delivered in two pieces, the front and back section.
All the carpenter work is provided by the company that manufactures these homes.
Jay wanted to do the work himself, but his back won't permit him to stand for very long.
Once the home is completed, we can finally move. I can't wait to be living in our very own house! They estimate that this will probably be completed within 6-8 weeks.
The paperwork had to be done on Jay's new phone. He needed help doing this, but it got done and finalized. What a relief!

@dfollin Those businesses are in every state, putting up houses. Type in Virginia, see what's there.

Just because they say 6-8 weeks, that doesn't mean it will be finished. What people say or do are two different things:)

I don't know if the house will be finished, I think it will be delivered by then. Completing the process, electricity, city water, natural gas hookup, will take more time. I really don't care, as long as it's going forward.

Congratulations! Did you give up on the one you were having built? I have to say some of those pre fab houses are really nice. I have thought about getting one myself.

Living in one's own house is a great experience. You feel happy that everything in the house is yours and makes you happy and content.
