One More Day to Go

The end of a vacation always comes at you a bit bittersweet. Tonight is our last night in Florida and then we head back home, getting back on Tuesday evening.
On the one hand we had a great time, and even a couple of extra days would be nice. On the other hand, life awaits, and we have to get back to business as usual. Besides, as I have always said, if vacations never ended, they would not be vacations at all.
You look forward to them and enjoy them the most because they are rare.
Besides, we do miss the kitties and look forward to getting back to them. And I am sure they miss us as well. Whenever we return home from a trip they become quite vocal and clingy.
It warms the heart to be missed, doesn't it? On Tuesday we will receive massive greetings, and on Wednesday the kitties will return to not knowing we exist.

Your last line is so funny, because it's so true. They will be so excited to have you back, and then the next day go back to forgetting you exist. But I bet they would remember you very well if you decided not to feed them one day...

@porwest Size doesn’t matter to them. In their minds, they can conquer all. We’re all good to them.

Vacations are always nice but I agree it's bittersweet when they are coming to an end. Enjoy your last few days in Florida and have a safe trip home. I had to laugh at your kitties missing you and then ignoring you. Typical pet reaction I assume.

Great to read you had a wonderful vaccation and a great time . It is so true that whenever vaccation ends , we feel that a few more days would have been good. Well, it is so true for all good things in life. We long for them a lot more towards the end of things. For me, already it has started being busy and looking to knock a few things from my to do list for this month. It would be a busy schedule for me till end of the year. With kitties giving a good welcome, life would be back to usual and well enjoy the good times!
