Flowers for us

In the photo you can see a floral arrangement that one of Vince’s brothers and wife sent to us. Vince is one of seven. He has four brothers and two sisters. One sister died quite some years ago. They are a close family and we’ve had a number of good times together. He didn’t really know his eldest brother very well as there is 10 years difference. The elder brother left home for work reasons while Vince was still quite young. However, they have got to know each other better in recent years and they are close now. I’ve been staying with his sister and her husband and they’ve been very good to me. The other brothers ring Vince regularly. We are lucky to have so much support.

It does indeed. He has rung his brothers and now they're visiting as he is over the worst. It makes a huge difference to a stay in hospital.

He had heart surgery in May and has now had a lesion removed from his lung. But he is doing well.

That’s such a touching and supportive gesture from Vince’s family. It’s wonderful to hear how close they are, especially despite the years and distance. It’s great that you’ve been well taken care of by his sister and her husband, and it sounds like you’ve got a strong support network. Family can be such a source of strength and comfort during times like these.

He's had a few hiccups but now all the tubes are out and he is definitely on the mend.

Thanks, Anna. He is doing well. There have been a few little hiccups but all the tubes have been removed now which is a good thing.
