Staying with my sister-in-law

I stayed with my sister-in-law and her husband for the last four nights and enjoyed my stay although I went with a bit of trepidation. F can be a bit prickly and has very decided views on lots of things but we got on well and I was able to help in a few ways without upsetting her.
She is a wonderfully caring person and does quite a lot of visiting, not just to friends but to those that might be lonely or need to see a friendly face. She also had a couple of appointments, so I did some ironing while she was away. I knew she wouldn’t mind. We spent an hour in the garden transferring seedlings to bigger pots and had a couple of games of Qwirkle which was fun.
Tomorrow I will pick up some empty pots for her from the hardware store. They were giving away some for free. She planted a lot of alyssium seeds and now has dozens of tiny plants which all need repotting.
The photo is of one of my pot plants – oops, I’m not allowed to call them that – I should say potted plants.

Your Kalanchoe is lovely. I have some, but they are not in bloom.

That is a beautiful plant. I agree with Fiacre's assesment of prickly people.

You almost typed 'potty' plants Did you not?
Not all guests are helpful although they mean to help. My niece in law whpo visited us a few years ago threw away soup thinking that it was dirfty water and washed that vessel. . That soup was for Preiti our pet dog (lol)

This has been such a stressful time for you, soon it will be over.
I like your non-pot potted plant, it is quite a good size.
I have a very small version of it, but do not necessarily excel at growing that particular plant.
I hope that Vince is well today.

I love Kalanchoe plants, especially when they flower. Gardening can be tiring but it is relaxing at the same time.

@JudyEv yes it is good exercise, plus you feel better inside too , because they say that soil reduces stress.

It's a beautiful plant, have no idea what it is. I plan to finally plant something. I'm glad you had a good stay.

It seems that it's available here. I just use a good potting mix. My Mum had some liquid that she'd dip the end of the cutting in.

Times have changed and it is uncomfortable to stay with even close family members nowadays.
I do so though very selectively.
You have gone out of the way to make your hosts more than comfortable, and that matters a lot.
We need to feel part of their family to start with.
