George is outside and probably will be in soon. I'll be waiting with his meds. He's going to love that. He asked me about an hour ago to disarm the house. Or, tried. I was able to understand him though. I can most of the time because I know him so well. I just got up, myself and am listening to a reaction video on my tablet while I write this post. I'm getting pretty good at listening to something in the background and focusing on my work. Or, I keep telling myself.
I'm glad the sun is out, but I can't help but think it's the calm before the storm. Many news outlets are talking about the hurricane fixing t hit the panhandle of Florida. Fun, fun. We're not in the direct hit zone, but major hurricanes tend to have state-wide impacts due to sure size alone.

I've learned to work with some kind of background noise. My parents maxed out the volume on the t.v. It was a rare instance when my house was actually quiet. And, that was usually when we kids went to bed and even then I often heard my dad's t.v.

@anya12adwi People have a weight problem. It's more common then you think. Even moreso now that things like delivary are avaible.

We don't think so. It's supposed to exit north of us. But on paper the cone looks smaller then the actual size of the storm, itself.

I do know that Floridians know how to prepare for hurricanes, but of course a person can only do so much. I know from my own past experiences, a hurricane is nothing to mess with. Take good care, Kayla.

Yeah, I know. A Youtuber I used to watch had a saying, you could do everything right and things can still go wrong. George and I are so seasoned, we barely bat an eye anymore.

Since I live in what is termed to be 'tornado alley' I wish for a generator often when we get slapped with a tornado and crazy winds, it's hard to be without power for a long time, as I am sure you well know. I cannot have one where I live now, like I did before. I do miss knowing that it was there when I needed it.

Hope the storm would not be bad and have less impact. It is good you are not in the direct zone and well hopefully it would be of a big size. Interesting to see you are able to concentrate on two things at the same time, which is listening and writing. I would need some silence to concentrate on reading or writing . Difficult for me to do both . Listening , I think I can manage wih some noise but not too much loud noise .Have been bad at multitasking and would focus only at 1 item at a time.That has always been my strength. Glad to know about your and George's day. Enjoy the day

I'm blind and use a screen reader. Things are read out to me so I'm always listening. But, I've also learned how to split my attention between what I'm listening to on the computer and on what's going on around me. When it comes to what George's watching on t.v. I tune it out, but I'm also also listening if he needs something from me.

I think the hurricanes and storms push disturbances clear to Kansas. I am glad for cooler weather though.

Yeah, they could easily. I mean Hellina is slated to hit Florida in the panhandle and travel north east. It would tear appart once over that much land, but still can cause a lot of trouble for the middle and northern states.

I expect some wind and some rain. Models show the storm of a fairly decent size and expected to reach cat 3 right before landfall.

Stay alert and safe. You may get some storm surge. My husband's cousin and her husband lived in Daytona Beach; but I believe they have moved. Have a good day.
