Police officers from the Bertie County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) answered an emergency call from a boater that needed to be helped when the boat was stranded in the Chowan River on Tuesday.
The police officers were able to rescue the boater by bringing the boat as well as the boater back to the shore safely around the afternoon on Tuesday.
The BCSO officers were doing their work to save lives and serve their community to the best of their ability.
