Yes, it’s another “big classic hit” on my list of 100 favorites to have made the Billboard charts, proving that I’m not ALL “weird college rock.” (Just mostly. ) Here’s today’s song that pretty much “everybody” knows. Lookin’ Out My Back Door - Creedence Clearwater Revival And to think he saw it on Mulberry Street! That’s what John Fogerty said inspired this song: the Dr. Seuss book. He wrote this for his then-three-year-old son, inspired by that book. My mom always thought it was about drugs. (She probably would have argued that more vehemently if she’d seen this video, with those red pants Fogerty was wearing. ) Children have vivid imaginations, too.
